This fairy-tale nature retreat creekside cabin will wow you with its stellar location, lush grounds, hot-tub, and stylish interior. The cabin is nestled in a forested community next the hood canal, famous for its rich waters and shellfish harvesting. This is the perfect base for your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, and is a great central location close to endless amazing hiking trails, including Olympic NP and multiple state parks less than 10 minutes away. The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq. There is a second deck that is covered overloooking the creek that has a pool table and more seating. Finally the converted lower carport contains the hottub overlooking the creek and a ping pong table for added fun! Please follow us on IG and tag us in your Olympic Peninsula Adventures ! Laundry facilities are not included in cabin reservation(meaning unfortunately guests do not have access to washer/dryer) Unfortunately guests do not have access to washer/dryer at this property. If more towels are needed during a stay, they can be requested. Please note that as stated in the description, the cabin is older and rustic and we have been and will be slowly be renovating it over time. You will find imperfections, but nothing that would affects functionality. The stairs are positioned in such a way that it’s a steep narrow opening to get into the first bedroom and the living room. While we don’t think it’s an inconvenience, it should be considered when deciding to book. Just watch your head! Some phone carriers will have very limited service at the property as well. Due to the heavily trees area and the unpredictable weather in Washington, we sometimes have brief power outages. The power is usually restored within an hour. Often people ask where the breaker box is during an outage. Please note that if the power is out, it is an area wide outage that county PUD will be working as quickly as possible to repair and restore the power. There is no need to do anything with the breaker box in this event. Due to country outages being outside of our control, discounts or refunds will not be given unless the outage causes a safety concern that results in needing to cancel the reservation. IMPORTANT: We just had a brand new septic system installed that was a lengthy and expensive process. Part of the system is located on the grass lawn to the left of the driveway when pulling in. Park only in the driveways, carports, or on the street, thank you! Please note there will be a late check out fee of $50 for guests are not checked out on time without prior approval and go over the 15 minute grace period. Additionally, please remember that the cleaning fee is paid in full to the cleaner which covers cleaning the house, laundering and preparing for the next guest. It does not include cleaning up garbage, washing excessive amounts of dishes, or other excessive cleaning. If the cleaning company charges extra for excessive mess, this cost will be passed to the guest. Our family has several very tall people, and they hit their heads nearly every time they walked to the bathroom or out the door. That’s why I recommend this place for shorter people. I wouldn’t stay here if you have teenie walking toddlers. The stairs are steep. A couple of things that are non-negotiable, especially with cleanliness that we had to work around were that the sponge was used and left in the sink wet, there were dirty hand prints all over the front door, and there were clumps of hair and muddy shoe prints on the stairs. I would expect a new, unopened sponge and a bit more attention to cleanliness in these high traffic areas. Cute place, and it worked for our two-night stay. ##### Tom Y. Séjour de 2 nuits en juin 2025
