Welcome to The High Country Hacienda.
We are a premium ski in and ski out property located above the peak 8 base of Breckenridge The Hacienda is perfect for beginner skiers. We do not get much snow here, so that gives beginners the advantage of really learning the basics of skiing without fighting tons of snow. And with our amazing on mountain location, this affords you tons of flexibility. you can easily ski down to the snowflake lift and take full advantage of our central mountain location. Extremely easy ski in from the ski school proving grounds.
We have 6 King en suites

insanly huge parking lot for 5 vehicles with no blocking your friends in
you dont need a car,
most of my guests never have one.

you can walk to breckenridge free ride or the gondola.
in summer walk the private trail to the beautiful sawmill lake or downtown.

The Hacienda is a professionally managed home with great attention to detail.
All the little things like hot tub care, snow shoveling and plowing are done quickly with no impact to your group.

The Home is decorated in the western fashion.
Each bedroom is equipped with its own private bath.
The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two ovens, gas range, large prep area, dishwasher and refrigerator. 2 microwaves
There is a large grill right next to the kitchen on the deck.
Views are great overlooking The Continental Divide.
Parking is professionally designed so 5 cars can park without any blocking

The comment I receive the most about our home is How Comfortable and Relaxing our home is, and what an amazing location.
This home is so nice, you do not have to wait in line at the gondola to go skiing or worse is when you have to wait in line for gondola to get off the mountain; can be a very long line. you are on the mountain and can go skiing whenever you want.

Family ski trip

The Hacienda was the perfect place to host a family ski trip! The house offered many gathering spots, whether we chose to play games or needed a quiet space to relax. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals for our group of 15. The BBQ was a plus! The property was excellent for “ski in” with a bit of difficulty on the “ski out” but this might be attributed to the lack of snow on the roads. Excellent time with the family!

Best House!

The pictures of the Hacienda don't do it justice. The house had more than enough space for our two families. And the location right on the mountain was perfect for ski in and ski out. Patrick could not have been more accommodating and was there to plow and assist in any way we needed. Can not recommend this house enough.

Great location.

Large rental as described in the listing. Well appointed kitchen. We prepared three meals a day for 15 people for six days without breaking a sweat. Everything we needed to do that was available to us. Patrick was available and responsive. Thanks for a great time.

Extended Family Thanksmas Celebration

We had a large group coming from multiple locations. This home satisfied all our needs. The en suite rooms were fantastic as listed. The kitchen was supplied with the necessary tools. Pat and Petra were always available and helpful while giving us the space to feel private. The ski in ski out set up worked great and we were lucky to have great weather. You Won't Regret It!

Our group had an excellent experience during the summer! The home’s theme and décor in each room was quite fun! There were multiple gathering areas and smaller ones for privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked. The extra fridge in the garage (an additional great “hangout room” with foosball table) was great, since we made most of our meals at the home. The location is awesome! Loved the hike down to the Sawmill Reservoir. There was a note in the home notebook about how the owner donates any unopened food items, which was helpful, as we had bought too much. The washer and dryer were quite small for such a large home. Those machines got a LOT of work the latter part of the week. A few minor issues, and the maintenance person came the next morning. About the summer, for future guests—The Breckenridge Resort gondola and activities were down for nearly the whole week we went (we could go the last full day and the lines were sooo slow). We ended up going to Copper Resort and those activities were really awesome, with little-to-no wait. I’m still glad we stayed in Breckenridge and would definitely do so again. There’s the “troll”, adjacent to “railroad playground” park. Also the Country Boy Mine nearby, a robust downtown with shops & restaurants, as well as a fantastic Breck Recreation indoor pool with long slide (& lap pool) –call in advance about when the camp kids use it. And ask the home owner about half-off passes for the Rec Center (it has other great activities, too!).

Big place, great location

Huge footprint, lots of rooms. Quirky layout and lots of stairs but that was part of the fun for us. Had everything we needed and you can not beat the location, you can ski right into the driveway. 5 star experience for us.

Super spacious East ski in/ski out

We had 19 adults during our 5 day stay at La Hacienda. The lay out of this property is perfect. Not once did anyone feel over crowded. There is plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their own privacy including their own bathroom/shower. This property is true a ski in/ ski out! You can throw your skis on and go straight down to snow flake lift or walk 3 houses up the street to be at peak 8! Patrick was a phenomenal host. He kindly gathered all of our groceries before we arrived. On top of that the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to host 20 people easily. They came by and emptied the trash and maintained the hot tub for us. You can get downtown in a few minutes with the free shuttle or you can easily Uber if you want to explore the town. This truly was the best trip I’ve been on ever and would highly recommend La Hacienda property to anyone!

Amazing Time

We had an amazing stay and the home was just beautiful. Even the drive-up was just incredible. Patrick catered one of our meals and he was super friendly and professional. The food was in my opinion excellent. I would recommend this location for any party larger than 8 people.

Fabulous vacation house

What a beautiful house. It was the prefect place to enjoy our ski vacation in Breckenridge. There were only 6 of us due to the Covid restrictions, but it would have been perfect for all 11 of us. The views are incredible, and the comfort of the home is amazing. Patrick was very attentive to any of our questions or needs. We hope to visit again when our entire family can come.

Great Cabin in a Great Location!

Very clean mountain home and exactly as described. Owner communicated very well and was easily available as needed. No issues with the home or stay what-so-ever. A HUGE PLUS was the dumbwaiter, which was an amazing little surprise which helped immensely with loading and unloading groceries and luggage. As for the Ski-Out, it only took a few mins and short click-out/walk across a street to get on the snowflake lift. As for the Skin-In it only took me 11 mins to get from the TBar/Horshoe Bowl to the garage and clicking-out. Overall A DEFINITE 5-STAR review and would be very happy to stay here again in the not-too-distant future. PS: The private hot tub was always 104 and ready for a quick relaxation after the slopes. Thank you Patrick/Family for this added benefit.

Amazing house & host! HIGHLY recommend!

This ski-on/ski-off paradise proved to be the perfect venue for my (very tame) bachelor party. The location could not be better & the house fit all my friends very comfortably. In addition, Patrick & his family are wonderful hosts! We arrived to a fully stocked fridge full of everything we needed. We were lucky to have a ton of snow for great conditions & Patrick kept the driveway plowed for us to make it easy to come & go. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful property!
