Now here’s a large, comfortable home with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. It’s in a quiet Breck neighborhood with lots of trees … and it’s just two blocks from the free shuttle stop taking you to the ski area base and Main Street. It’s a place you and your group will want to come back to year after year! This 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home is perfectly set up for groups of up to 12 – and with three master bedroom suites with private bathrooms, it’s great for multiple couples/families to share! In the living area, you’ll find vaulted ceilings, great natural light, a floor-to-ceiling rock gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV and plenty of seating for trading stories after the day’s mountain adventures. There’s also a separate family room area with another gas fireplace and flat-screen TV, so the kids can watch their favorite movie, too. The kitchen features granite counters, stainless-steel appliances, and all the gear you’ll need to whip up everything from après-ski snacks to memorable holiday meals. The dining table seats six, and there’s room for two more at the counter. Outside, you’ll enjoy a spacious deck, a gas grill, private hot tub and seating to take in the mountain air. Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and parking for up to three vehicles. Plus, every Summit Mountain Rentals property comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and is professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival. And our initial thoughts were well we can get on with our trip, but then we started to notice that many of the amenities that we had expected we’re not going to be available to us. The garage which was listed as available, was not. The slow cooker which we asked for in advance to arrival, and we were told that was available and present, was not. The hot tub was at a shivering 52° and needed to be warmed. And all of the kitchen utensils were like of a college bachelors. The microwave sounded like it was going to blow up. The toilet on the second floor required us to reach into the tank each time we needed to flush and stop the toilet from running. ##### Cameron L. Driving and parking by the gondola is recommended. This is less of a pain than I thought it would be and is honestly 100% worth how much more space you have to yourself than a ski in and out condo. The literal only small drawback is that the washer and dryer are kind of small for a house of the size. Just plan ahead if you’re going to do laundry and you have a large group. Both living spaces had comfortable seating and the fireplaces made it warm and cozy. The property manager was prompt in replying to any questions we had. The check out process was the easiest of any house we’ve stayed in. The bunk room was much smaller than we expected but our girls made it work. I would have liked to have been able to drop off our luggage earlier than four when we got to town so we could go rent our ski gear. The owner might consider giving renters early access to the garage to drop off luggage and free up space in cars to rent gear and/or grocery shop to make best use of time.
