Summary: BRECK CONNECT CHALET - Located in the beautiful Shock Hill neighborhood, steps from the Shock Hill gondola station, this 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom luxury mountain home is the perfect place to enjoy your family vacation. The comfortable layout and cozy mountain feel of this home is brought to life with cathedral wood ceilings, top of the line finishes, and each bedroom with a connected bathroom. Come and go easily with access to Peaks 7 & 8 or Main Street using the Shock Hill gondola. The Space: Sleeping: Bedroom 1 with king bed with attached bath (sleeps 2); Bedroom 2 with queen bed with attached bath (sleeps 2); Bedroom 3 with queen bed with attached bath (sleeps 2); Bedroom 4 with queen bed with attached bath (sleeps 2); Additional Sleeping with queen size pull out sleeper sofa in lower level lounge area (sleeps 2). Pack n' Play provided. Maximum overnight capacity - 12 The Neighborhood: Shock Hill is one of Breckenridge’s most preferred neighborhoods. The unique area of Shock Hill sits between town and the base of the ski area with unbeatable access to Peak 7 & 8 with quick walking access to the mid-point gondola station. Because there are a limited number of homes in this area, visitors who stay in Shock Hill will avoid the crowds and enjoy the mountain without lines or hassle. Utilize the gondola access for a convenient ride to town for shopping or a meal. A fun side-note. The owner of this property won a contest when the gondola was being built and was honored with naming it the "Breck Connect Gondola"! Getting Around: Please note: The Breckenridge Gondola opens for the Winter season right around November 8th every year and operates daily from 7:45am to 5:30pm during winter months. The gondola does also not run end of April to mid June during moose calving season. The gondola reopens mid June and runs through Labor Day weekend. The hours of operation during the summer are 10am to 5pm. The gondola is free to ride for everyone. You do not need a pass. Other Things to Note: Once the reservation is confirmed and the first portion of the payment has been made, those funds are non refundable. The remaining balance will be due thirty days before your arrival. Once the balance is paid, that portion is also non-refundable. If the ski area shuts down or a public health order prevents us from hosting you during your reserved time, you will be eligible for a full refund or will be able to reschedule. We rented the house for our ski season and we really enjoy being with the family, so this house was perfect for it and for us to be together, having breakfast and cooking together. The size of the house is great, fits 6 people and has all the necessary equipment. it’s extremely close to the gondola that goes to Peak 8, you only need to walk about 5 minutes. Fonda was an excellent hostess, providing all necessary information. Some things that could have been better: - we cook every day, I missed more Tupperware - the internet in general is a little weak, especially in the lower part of the house. - we missed a tablecloth for meals and some cups were broken. - Some blinds are broken, which made light enter the rooms. We stayed at the house over Christmas 2017\. The house is in excellent shape and is a beautiful home. It is located about 200 yards to a Gondola stop. You can take the gondola up to Peak 7 or 8 to begin skiing, or down into town (however the Gondola only runs to about 5 pm.) The house also has a garage with an exterior keypad for entry. The house has one large master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, and 3 bedrooms and baths, plus a sleeper sofa on the ground floor. The master bath is very large and has a whirlpool bathtub. The kitchen and living room are also on the same floor as the master bedroom. The house has high ceilings throughout. It is a very nice house. The kitchen/living room is open. Everything is in new condition and works. The living room TV is approx 70"; It is almost too big. There is a very nice deck out back with a hot tub, gas grill and gas fire pit. The house also has two gas fireplaces inside, and heated floors which were very nice during winter. It snowed 6-7 inches the night before we departed but I was able to get my big truck into the garage which made our departure so much easier. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace were great also. Location couldn’t be better for ease of getting on the mountain and the house was awesome. Having the private hot tub was great after a day of skiing and the grill was a huge bonus for us since we “ate in” for all meals not on the mountain.
