As renters ourselves for many years and as owners who enjoy staying at Wapiti Lodge as much as we can, we have furnished, equipped and 'amenitized' our home with YOUR stay in mind. We have taken all the personal touches that you get with a second home and combined them with the professionalism that you would expect from a property management to give you the best rental experience in Breckenridge. Our home is 4000 square feet, with 8 Bedrooms (4 are master suites), 6 Bathrooms, a great room, a family room and a game room with a pool/ping-pong table. It sleeps up to 18 (14 adults max.) and has plenty of room inside and out. Relax in the hot tub after a hard day of skiing or hiking. Curl up with a book by a warm fire. Challenge a friend to a game of pool. Tackle a 1000 piece puzzle. Sit on the swing in the backyard and listen to the Blue River as it runs by. Watch one of your favorite old movies on the 47 inch HDTV. Have fun cooking a meal for friends and family in a kitchen that has everything you need. And then there is the town of Breckenridge with all it has to offer. At Wapiti Lodge you are just a short walk to town and the Free Ride Breckenridge's free bus service) bus stop is one door up. There are eight bedrooms. Six are upstairs. They are: 1) Master #1:King bed, private bath and private balcony, HDTV/DVD (2) 2) Master #2:Queen bed, private bath and private balcony, HDTV (2) 3) Master #3:Queen bed and private bath, HDTV (2) 4) Master #4:Queen bed and private bath, HDTV/DVD (2) 5) The 5th bedroom has two twin beds (2) 6) The 6th bedroom has a queen bed (2) There are two bedrooms downstairs. They are: 7) The 7th bedroom has a queen bed and lofts XL twin, en suite sink (2) 8) The 8th bedroom has a queen bed and two lofted twin XL beds, share downstairs bathroom (4) Wapiti Lodge has a great room with a wood burning fireplace (wood provided), a family room with 47 inch HDTV (with expanded channels) and a DVD player as well as a game room with a pool/ping pong table. All master suites have their own flat screen HDTV. Two of the master bedrooms also have DVD players. The fully equipped kitchen is large and open to the dining room and great room for optimal socializing with the cook(s). The dining room has two tables that can be arranged for your group's needs. Twelve chairs are around the tables and there are 6 padded folding chairs which can be brought in if needed. The dining room also has a bar console for you to set up for cocktails out of the way of the cooks. The kitchen counter bar has seating for four. The house has several child friendly amenities including two pac-n-plays, booster seat, table and chairs and sleds. The backyard has a children’s jungle gym and swing set. There are two decks with deck furniture. The pantry/utility room has a large capacity washer and dryer, laundry sink and plenty of storage room . The house has two 75 gallon hot water heaters so you’ll have more than enough hot water for everyone in your group. The kitchen has two ovens, a 5 burner gas cook top, 2 microwaves, dishwasher and a Sub Zero refrigerator. A second full sized refrigerator is in the game room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook and serve for 20\. Breckenridge is the ideal location for both summer and winter vacations. It puts you in the middle of world class skiing, snowboarding, fishing, and golfing, so whatever the season there is always a reason for Breckenridge. The house accommodated us perfectly. We were worried that cooking for 13 would be a challenge but we were pleasantly surprised with the variety and size of the kitchen and its contents. Upon hearing from us that the DVD player wasn’t working, the owners shipped a new one to our door by the following day. It was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for our large group of 17\. The kitchen was a standout—high-quality equipment, and having two ovens and two refrigerators made cooking for a crowd a breeze. The house was comfortable, though it took a little time to warm up when we first arrived. The location was also great. We loved the hot tub and playing a game of pool in the game room after a fun day on the slopes. And the kids loved playing in the snow-- they built an igloo outside in the yard from a huge snow pile and had plenty of sleds to go around. The only downside was the bunk bed situation. We had planned to use both bunk rooms for the kids, but one of them (with a double on the bottom and single on top) wasn’t really functional as a bunk. The top bunk was so close to the ceiling that none of the kids (ages 8 to 11) were able to sit up without hitting their heads on the ceiling. We had to adjust our sleeping arrangements, splitting up the kids, but fortunately, there were other beds available in different rooms so everyone could sleep comfortably.Overall, this is a great rental with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable accommodations, and a great location. We had a wonderful stay in Breckenridge! Just keep in mind the bunk bed limitations if you're planning for kids to use them- the two top bunks in the other bunk bed room (off the game room) were great! It's just room with the single bunk that to top bunk wasn't usable. ##### marianne g. It was quiet but close enough to town to enjoy both. We enjoy to cooking together and loved the large, very well equipped kitchen. The swing set was great for our toddler, and the hot tub was nice. The house is even larger than we saw online, extremely comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax for our group of 14\. The kitchen is very well stocked and has great appliances to cook at home. It's also just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to town and the Village base if you wanted to eat out. The bus stop is very close too which was convenient for getting to the mountain to ski each morning. Katie is a gem to work with, and she was very helpful answering our questions and worked with us when a large snow storm caused our plans to change. This is the best rental we have had in those seven years. The location is perfect. Away from the noise but just a three minute drive or short walk if you want to get there. The house was spotlessly clean. Everything worked like it was supposed to, which is really saying something when it comes to VRBO rentals. There were clear, concise instructions for everything (hot tub, Sonos, grill, fire place, laundry, trash and recycling). I had great communication with the owner and another in our group had similarly great communication from the property manager. The kitchen gets its own paragraph. Our biggest complaint when we rent homes is the lack of usability of the kitchen. Most homes sleep 14-18 people but if you want to cook for them you are just out of luck. Not this kitchen. 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, big range and a large grill made cooking all meals including Thanksgiving meal a breeze. There are pots, pans, cooking sheets, roasting pans, slow cookers, a FULL spice cabinet and all the things needed to easily prepare large meals for the group. The kitchen is meticulously organized and labeled and it literally has everything. My mom, not believing the reviews having been burned before, brought her expensive knives and several spices with her from Kansas City but they were totally unnecessary. All vehicles did fit although did have to move vehicles around to get vehicles out. Enjoyed Breckenridge and surrounding activities. Family went trail riding, fly fishing, gondola ride, snd white water rafting. Shopping as well. Would be nice to have gate to keep 9 month old from climbing stairs — the one at house is broken. The house was just perfect for our extended family of 14\. The free shuttle bus 2 doors down from the house was just perfect for us. The kids loved the creek near the home. They were there everyday playing in it. The kitchen was a dream. We cooked every meal in the house except for the last night and they had everything you could imagine there.
