There were no overhead lights, the unit was very dark, however, had a very convenient location! The screened in porch was our favorite place to be due to the fresh air and peacefulness of The creek and trees. Point Royale is a beautiful place to stay, we will just make sure that we don’t stay on the bottom floor. Everything was clean and well kept. Things to note: if you like extra pillows, bring some. There is really only one per person. The people upstairs sounded like a small heard of elephants any time they walked around. Thankfully, it wasn’t when we were sleeping. There is no real way to block out the light in the living area (not a full curtain) so if someone is sleeping in there it could be bothersome.
