Very disappointed with our room. Paid for an executive double room. Had no view as windows were frosted and the shower was rubbish. Great If you was 5 foot but for me the head was at my chest and it flooded the bathroom. Also I called ahead as it was my partners birthday to have a card at dinner or in the room to make it a little special for her and we got nothing. Disappointed to say the least. d

Lovely grounds but the rooms could do with a bit of TLC . The staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant is expensive the food was wonderful. Would definitely go back .

Lovely staff. One of our party has mobility problems and they went over and above to help, including an upgrade to a accessible room. Breakfast was great!

Staff are all very helpful with Ella and Ellie standing out for service. Lovely big gym and Swimming facilities, pool arrangements are a little confusing but this is due to Covid. Property could do with a few areas looking at like the tape on the window in the dining room and signage around the hotel. We found it difficult to find our way to and from Spa. Plenty of signs if you are in certain rooms.

A picturesque and pleasent Manor House hotel set in beautiful grounds. The staff from beginning to end were warm, friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and as we were celebrating our anniversary, the simple extra touches made the experience unique!! Met Cliff -Manager who too, with ALL the staff were amazing!! Masssge and Spa day was great and afternoon tea a 'must' in the grounds Room was clean and comfortable and food great. All in all a wonderful time spent with wonderful people. My only negative was too many cushions on the bed and an earlier breakfast is usuful for people who need to be somewhere. Apart from that it was great.

Expensive meal
This is a very nice hotel but there were 2 things that annoyed me: 1. The meal in the restaurant was the most expensive meal I have purchased in over a year at over £60... and I stay in hotels for 1 or 2 nights per week, every week with my line of work. I'd expect the meal to cost around £40 -£45 for what I received. £11.50 for a glass of white wine of unknown origin seemed excessive. 2. The bedroom door had very large gaps around it and the hallway was quite cold (mid winter, frosty night), so the drafts meant I could not warm the bedroom. I overcame this by stacking the cushions that had been on the bed along the floor of the door and half way up the side. It didn't fix the problem but did reduce it. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Excellent service - received an upgrade. The room and breakfast was fantastic. Brilliant service from staff very considerate and kind. They returned my diamond rings and toiletries I accidentally left in my room - very honest. Delighted can’t wait to go back.

Overall this is a nice place to stay. However, the room we were allocated (room 9) was right by the lift, so we suffered from the associated noise. If we hadn’t have gotten to the venue fairly late I would have asked to have been moved. The staff were all friendly and welcoming but as we were going to an event locally in the evening and had an early start the following day, we didn’t try the restraunt or any of the facilities.

From reception to check out lovely staff. Friendly helpful . Great spa gad a lovely swim and sauna .dinner was great .I had Mushroom and pearl barley risotto. Very well cooked and big portion.wine quite pricey and mo tomato juice for a bloody Mary!. Restaurant staff very attentive. Comfortable room bed could have bee6a king size. Breakfast lovely had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Room had ironing board nice selection of teas. Powerful shower. Definitely be back in summer enjoy the outside spaces .

All the staff were young, very efficient and helpful, could not rate them high enough. We were only there one night but it was excellent. From Reception, bar, dining room and leisure suite, everyone was great. Only issue really were the roads getting there which are quite narrow and not easy in the dark. But only 7 miles from Bluewater if you want to combine with shopping.

Friendly staff and nice old building. We stayed in a suite, but when compared to other suites we've previously stayed in it was very small and there wasn't much extra provided in the room. Tv was positioned so low to the ground that you couldn't see the screen when in bed. This could easily be rectified by putting tv on the wall. Red mould on tiles in bathroom. Black mould behind silver plug on bath. Dust in bedroom. Only one dressing gown was provided even though there were 2 guests. Ate in restaurant and food was good other than one cold desert which was replaced but sadly the plate was cold which meant the 2nd desert brought wasn't much warmer but thankfully the custard was warm and tasted nice. Just a shame things weren't better considering the amount paid for the room. Could of complained but didn't want to ruin our stay.

Great diet retreat!!!
As a resident I was amazed to learn that I couldn't book a restaurant table on the evening of my stay. I was advised that the restaurant was fully booked and they couldn't take any more orders in case people stayed at their table longer. I was told that I could order from the bar menu and when I asked about ordering from the restaurant menu in the bar was told this would be ok. When I came down to the bar the only place to eat was in the tiny bar area and from low tables. The bar staff knew nothing about ordering from the restaurant menu and were even more clueless about the beers they had. The reason for only being able to use the bar was because a 70th party in a private function rooms had occupied the lounge area. I checked the restaurant 3 times during the evening and there were plenty of free tables. It was obvious the focus was on catering for the birthday party rather than getting more staff to cater for their actual guests. The hotel is remote there is nothing nearby to get food from and I usually book this hotel so that I can have a beer whilst at Brands and don't have to drive afterwards. I posted a check in review on booking.com an was met by the general manager upon checking out who to be fair offered me a form of consolation but in hind sight I still feel the hotel were more interested in making money from the birthday do than focusing on their r guests. I'd add that as a diabetic this situation is not acceptable!
