The view is spectacular (we saw 3 bald eagles), the cabin itself is very modern and has very good air conditioning. It was quite warm during our stay, so it was great to have a cool refuge. We loved the proximity to places of interest like Bath, Boothbay Harbor and others. Go to the Sea Dog Brewery in Topsham for some great food, and amazing scenery. One of our favorite meals was at Three Robbers Pub just a few minutes away in Bowdoinham. We had a lovely week at the house and in Maine. Note: the dishwasher is out of service and the grill (charcoal) should be replaced, but these were minor inconveniences for us. ##### Michael S. Private but close enough to essentials and plenty of sight seeing/activities. The canoe on site still has at least one of the same holes mentioned in a review a year ago. Only one person can use it or you will sink. I did not want to be the one. Picture shows boats on dock, but there is nothing on the property you can use. Should be very clear in the listing. I did find a nice, reasonably priced rental facility about 15 minutes away. Seaspray Kayaking and Paddle in Brunswick. We chose it due to the water view and it’s proximity to Augusta as my husband was racing in the 70.3 Ironman. The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen appliances, pots and pans that we needed. The view was absolutely beautiful and we took full advantage of the fire pit and dock access. The property management team was very thorough and sent updates about early check in being available which was an added bonus. This was our first VRBO rental and they made it very smooth! Our only complaint was the water pressure. It was so bad it made it difficult to shower or do dishes. With that being said I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again for a short stay but would not recommend six people staying here. ##### Stephanie G. This 2nd time was our official honeymoon trip, and got to watch a pair of bald eagles be at home, right in the cove next to this cabin. Absolutely amazing and will always go back. One morning, we saw an eagle swoop down to catch a fish and saw two seals swimming by. The kitchen had everything we needed. May 27, 2019 #### Relaxing time at Eagles View We had an excellent time relaxing here for 5 days. The view across Merrymeeting Bay is lovely, the cottage is new, clean and comfortable. We experienced a couple of difficulties gas fireplace didn't work, primary lockbox didn't work), but the local property manager was prompt in his efforts to fix those problems. ##### Carol B.
