This is a two-story, Greek Revival structure built between 1857 and 1859, that was placed on the National Register of Historic Places May 1976. During the Civil War, it was one of the only historical homes that was not burned. It was spared because it was temporarily used as a hospital during the Civil War for passing troops. The interior is most memorable due to the quality of the detailed work and unaltered conditions. The home is one of very few structures remaining in the area from the Antebellum era. Although it is well kept and clean, you may notice minimal natural weathering due to the fact that it has been passed down for generations and was built in the 1800’s.
