Dogs Welcome! Cozy and clean 2 bedroom cottage on Lake Street a few blocks from downtown Harbor Springs. Bathroom was fully renovated in spring 2023\. It's a short walk to, downtown restaurants and shopping, and a quick drive to golf courses, Pond Hill Farm, the Tunnel of Trees, and ski areas. Our dog-friendly cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, 2 TVs, high-speed wifi, 2 queen beds with new mattresses, parking, and a large back yard with seating and a fire pit. The house is professionally cleaned between guests and includes fresh sheets, bath towels, and beach towels for your stay. During the summer there is a window AC unit that keeps the whole house cool and comfortable. Our dog-friendly and kid-friendly house has all the amenities of home in a great location convenient to all that Northern Michigan has to offer. Relax in the living room on a cozy couch and pair of comfy club chairs. The renovated bathroom has built-in shelving, a new shower and all new fixtures. There is a small breezeway next to the kitchen and adjacent laundry room with shelves/hooks for your winter or lake gear! Other things you'll find to make your stay easy and enjoyable: playing cards, puzzles, extra blankets and pillows, wine/bottle openers, paper towel, toilet paper, dish and hand soap, and hangers. The house is situated on a large lot with a big and mostly private yard that backs up to trees on two sides. The cottage was clean and the beds were super comfy! Nice TVs and easy to use remotes. That's a plus! We are not large people but we will say that the bathroom is extremely small and the shower is super small. Lake Street is somewhat of a busy street with lots of dump trucks going up and down. It is conveniently located to everything in Harbor Springs, also Petoskey and Wilderness State Park where we spent time. The cottage is clean, very quiet and supplies were plentiful and clearly labeled. Mama Bear and Papa Bear would each have had their choice between the two queen beds, but alas Goldilocks would not have found her perfect mid firmness mattress. We opted for the firmer choice of the two and slept well. As mentioned by another guest, the shower was a bit small for a man, but the towels were plush and the hot water was fast and plentiful. We appreciated both Keurig and instant coffee were available as well as tea. Having ice cubes ready to go in the freezer was also very convenient.We loved that we could bring our furry friend, our 14 y.o. GSD. The yard was nice for exercising her and everything on one level for our senior pup was great. The hardwood floors in the living room were actually very slippery for her and when she lost her footing she could not get up. Fortunately we travel with rugs in the car that we brought in for her to keep her footing. Just something to keep in mind if your canine friend is in their later years. ##### Jeanne M. The house was the perfect size for us - and our teen had his own room. As a dog friendly property, we found the home impeccably clean! It’s a small house, but had everything we needed to be comfortable. We did not walk to town because of winter temps & snow. Had it been summer, we probably would have. The shower is small for grown men, but the renovated bathroom is quite nice. Most of all, the communication with Maureen was excellent, and she helped resolve an issue we had (which turned out to be our fault, not the property or renter!) immediately and above our expectations. Our family (including dog) enjoyed our stay here in early August 2024! The location was convenient to so many things as well as a quick walk down the hill into town. We were provided everything we needed while we were there, and we appreciated having a laundry on site! The newly updated bathroom was great as well. This adorable little cottage was exactly what we needed for our first "dog vacation" with our one-year-old Australian Shepherd, Orla. It was just a short 15-minute walk to Zoll St. dog beach (Orla's happy place!), and we made a regular habit of heading down to the lake and visiting the deer park each evening. The cottage itself was super cozy and had everything we could ask for. We loved having a full kitchen – we picked up frozen pot pies from the Good Hart General Store and were able to prepare them at home for a quiet night in. And the washer and dryer were a godsend for sandy paws and beach towels, and the pantry/laundry area kept all of Orla's toys and leashes organized. It's in the perfect location - close to Petoskey State Park and numerous nature preserves - great for hiking and exploring. Our stay was short, only four nights, but it was absolutely delightful and cozy. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage in Harbor Springs! It's one of the most well-stocked rentals we've ever stayed in-- the kitchen has everything you need and there are even beach towels. It's very close to downtown Harbor Springs. The backyard is huge and we had a great time making a fire and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Maureen is an excellent communicator and even took the trouble to mail us something we forgot. This Rental in Harbor Springs was really nice. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Both beds were very comfortable, which is hard to find in a rental.
