The property was clean and in a great location. It had any amenities we need during our stay and it wasnt difficult to find. However, this host was very frustrating to work with. Days before we checked in I was getting multiple texts a day from the host including advertisements for their business. They were contantly messaging me in the app and texting me. Then during our stay it was difficult to relax because it felt like we were being watched. We left to enjoy the lake and hadnt been gone more than 10 minutes when the host was texting me with concerns about our vehicle in the driveway. Almost like they were waiting for us to leave to go check the property. We hadnt been back from the lake more than 2 minutes and the host actually called me multiple times. Then on our check out day it wasnt even 8am and the host was texting me about checking out on time. It was a great place but we would never stay here again. Last note, take every review with a grain of salt because the host offered to pay me to give them a 5 star review and Im sure he does the same for everyone who stays here. ##### David W. It’s walking distance to a grocery store. We had 12 staying here, a range of adults, teens and children and it was a bit tight space wise, but it was only for one night so it worked. I appreciated the Quick and easy communication with the owner. I didn’t love the actual checkin which has you use the ring doorbell and show your ID before getting your door entry code because we’d been driving for awhile and everyone was anxious to get in and use the bathroom and we all had to wait outside for this process which only took several minutes, but it would’ve been nice if we could’ve been given our code the day before and been able to get right in; and if you were to check in really late, I’m not sure how that’d work (also my cell service was spotty in that area so I worried I wouldn’t be able to get the info I needed when I needed it, but it was ok). ##### elisa s. Jul 27, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great but definitely a “supervised” stay Property is new and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of blankets and towels for everyone. The upstairs was very HOT. At least 10 degrees hotter than the main floor. We had the air conditioning on but it was not making a dent. The property manager was very responsive and turned the air conditioning down (you DO NOT have control of the temperature) but he set it to turn back up at 4 am which kept us too hot. For spending $520 for one night we feel that we should be able to change the temperature to our comfortability. You really need to change the temp on the thermostat to 65 to even get the upstairs to 75 which we couldn’t do. Also to mention check-in, there is a video doorbell and a video camera in the garage. In order to check in you have to send the host your license and then show him your license again at check in through the video doorbell. At that point you get the code for the garage. This may be okay for some guests but we felt the micromanagement on the air conditioning as well as the micromanagement in the check in process as well as two cameras we felt uncomfortable. Which is too bad because the property was clean and comfortable and the host was very nice and responsive. For this reason I unfortunately have to give 3 stars.
