Waterfront Adults Retreat. Welcome to The Deckhouse, Cottage Point. A tranquil escape only 45 mins from Sydney. The Deckhouse is a contemporary two-story boathouse/Cottage right by the water of Cowan Creek. It's tucked away in the beautiful Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. With a Northwest orientation, you can enjoy stunning views of both the sunrise and sunset. Upper level The panoramic views of the river and beyond greet you as you enter the open-plan entry level. It's beautifully decorated with a compact but fully equipped kitchen, a living area, a bedroom, and ensuite bathroom. This self contained living space is flooded with natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling doors that open onto the balcony. It's the ideal spot to lay on the daybed, unwind and watch the boats go by. You can launch the kayaks, fish, soak up the sun, or fire up the BBQ for a meal under the stars. Additional open plan studio accommodation is also available on this lower level, comprising of an ensuite bathroom, bed and kitchen facilities for BBQ Just step out of bed, open the bifold doors, and take in the views Queen bed Ensuite bathroom Outdoor BBQ Deck and pontoon Dishwasher, sink and BBQ requirements When you choose to stay at The Deckhouse, Cottage Point the property is soley for your use. We do not rent out the accommodation separately. Kayak, fish and simply relax while enjoying the water, the views and the magnificent sunsets of Cottage Point. Two kayaks, life jackets and two fishing rods are available for guest use. Boat hire is available across the road at the Cottage Point Kiosk. The Deckhouse uses rain water and reverse cycle air conditioning on both levels. NO FREE TO AIR TV, Netflix, Prime ( sign in to your own account) and Foxtel available. Main living area 40" HD, Bedroom 32"HD smart TV upper floor. Please note that the lower deck, jetty and pontoon are not fenced and access between each of the property levels, is via outdoor stairs only. No wheelchair access IMPORTANT Access from the carport is via inclinator ( outdoor lift) only. There is no alternative. The inclinator takes only a couple of minutes from the carport to the property ( a favourite experience for many guests) Outdoor stairs only between each level of the property. No smoking, no candles, no naked flames of any sort. Maximum of four guests No visitors allowed , guests only No Children. Newborn infants ( under 6 months - pre crawling ) welcome Pre advised please. The property is not appropriate for pets of any kind. No third party bookings . The guest booking cannot book for someone else. The no smoking rule applies to inside and outside of the property If any of the house rules mentioned above hinder your stay at the property, we kindly ask you to reconsider your booking. Owners live in a separate home at the top of the block of land. Surrounded by natural beauty Belinda and Paul have created a wonderful getaway with everything you need to relax and unwind. The inclinator down to the property gives an expansive view of the river as you descend to the waters edge. Magical sunsets and active river life were fantastic to watch. A boat hire and kiosk are located nearby for things you might need. The house is amazing! Sparkling clean, comfortable with style and charm. It looked to be a great option before we ended up in the buzz of Sydney for the last five nights of our five week tour down under. Sadly the weather didn’t play ball until the third day when we saw it all in its glory finished off with a beautiful sunset. The inclinator down to the house good fun. Dining at the Cottage Point in. Memorable. Hiring a tinnie from the boat kiosk for three hours simply wonderful. Belinda is a joy to communicate with and we are so glad we rested up at yours ##### Julie S. The waterside views from this beautiful house are breath taking. We had a lovely relaxing time.But there is plenty of water sports to enjoy if you wish. The house has everything in it you need to have an amazing holiday. The furnishings are gorgeous and the bed is very comfortable. There is a trendy little cafe on a mariner a few minutes down the road and an amazing seafood restaurant that does a degustation that you will feel thoroughly spoilt in indulging in. Belinda & Paul the owners could not have been any friendlier or accomodating. We loved our stay and would really like to go back again. ##### Sue T. We spent quite a bit of time sitting on the upstairs balcony with our drinks watching the boats, birds and schools of jumping fish pass by. I also had a turn at fishing off the BBQ deck downstairs and kept losing my bait to the fish! The house was very clean and contained everything we needed. Just bring your clothes, food and drinks. There are 2 restaurants and boat hire just a short walk away. Access to the covered carport is via a short steep driveway just past Cowan Drive, then hop into a carriage cage with your bags and take the slow (but fun) ride down the rails to the house. ##### Glenn C. Belinda made the check-in process very simple and all instructions very clear. The house was lovely and clean and so well equiped.
