The cabin was spotless, cozy, and truly felt like home, with plenty of room for everyone. The front porch swing was such a nice touch, and the back porch was amazing, the perfect place to sit and relax while listening to the peaceful sound of the stream behind the cabin.We were in town for our daughter’s cheer competition in Johnstown, about a 20-minute drive, and it was completely worth it. Staying here was far better than booking a hotel. The host was wonderful and very responsive, with quick and friendly communication throughout our stay. It's clear, the host has put thought and attention into every detail from choice of furnishings to appropriate seasonal decor. The original construction and history of the building is well preserved, with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Grounds were well kept and we enjoyed our time outdoors- meandering through the woods on the property, evening fires, and quiet time on the front porch swing. We stayed 2 nights over Valentine's Day weekend and even in the cold and snow the creek was bubbling happily. I would love to see this space in the spring/summer to get a real feel for the property! We battled snow and freezing rain on Saturday to go antiquing (thank you to Laura for leaving a snow shovel on the front porch). Made a few purchase and enjoyed apple dumplings from The Pie Shoppe. This log cabin has been beautifully updated while keeping the charm of the original cabin. The hosts have thought of everything from the blanket on the front porch swing to the albums for the record player. The game room is stocked with cards, games and a dart board. The Cabin was perfect for two couples. It is comfortable, very clean and has everything you could possibly need. We had an issue with the internet, the owner was very responsive and helped us get the issue resolved.
