"Great location! View of the water was beautiful"
Access from the hotel from the airport was easy using either the water taxi that drops you off in front of the hotel or easy walk to the train station. The staff was friendly and service was great

"Bed Bugs"
Honestly, the hotel itself was great. Good staff and accommodations, location, etc. The major issue I had was that I left the place with numerous bug bites that bore a striking resemblance to bed bug bites. I know this is a pretty major accusation, but I've seen these kinds of bites before. At first, I asked myself, "where did I go that I got so many mosquito bites?" And then it dawned on me, "these are bed bug bites." I'm no doctor, but from my prior experience with the pests and a couple google searches, it was pretty clear that I was not bitten by mosquitoes. I stayed in room 311 just for reference.

"Nice hotel, location is great"
Only issue was the shower. There was no tub, and anytime you used the shower the entire bathroom flooded

"Location and Walking distance of many attractions."
I would have given this Hotel a 5 star rating and this report should not put anyone off staying at the Intercontinental. Because it was a very special occasion (50th wedding anniversary) our stay was marred by one miserable individual serving in the Restaurant on our big day, we could not wait to get out as he marred our whole evening, we stayed six nights and dined out after that evening. The rest of the staff were like gold dust, they were brilliant. In our particular case you cannot turn the clock back, the evening was ruined, we have now moved on. The only other gripe was the noise of Ambulance/Fire Brigade sirens throughout the night as our room was directly opposite there combined Station, I am sure if you get a room on the opposite side facing the river it would be very quiet. If it is your first time at this Hotel, you will find it very easy to get from Logan airport free on the Silver Line bus to South Station and then a 500 yard walk, going back there is a charge of $2.64 per person. We travelled from Ireland to Boston at great expense as we are senior citizens, so you can see why we were not too happy about this situation, on any other day this would not have been so traumatic

"Historic Hotel with a Cruise Atmosphere"
This was a historic landmark converted to timeshares with some units available as hotel rentals. Excellent location for all things Boston. Daily activities to keep kids and adults engaged. Only a couple of downfalls - rooms on 1st floor were noisy due to proximity to the "Counting Room" activity room (mostly live music which really was fine) and the internet was terrible. The business center was basically useless due to bad internet and the desktop was only configured for printing boarding passes - made all other websites mess up. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and stay there again without question. I loved it. Next time, I will just bring my mobile hotspot and laptop.

As the main hub of commerce in Boston, the Financial District is positively brimming with suits, skirts, and cufflinks during the week. It’s hard to walk more than a few steps without running into a law firm, bank, or corporation located in the tall, shining skyscrapers. If you’re here for business, this is the neighbourhood you want to be and be seen in. You never know if a million-dollar deal is waiting to be sealed over coffee or bagels on the sidewalk.

If you’re not in town for business, you can still have a high-rolling stay in the area. Check out the nearby Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Alive and kicking since 1742, this area of town is well known for shops and restaurants. You may also want to pop into Quincy Market next door. With about 50 boutiques, a dozen restaurants, and a comedy club, this historic landmark is always worth a visit.

Now that your hands are full of honeys and jams, shoes and shirts, and any other souvenirs, head over to your Quincy Market hotel to unload. And don’t worry about overspending on accommodations when you’d rather spend money in the Financial District itself. Book with Expedia.ca to find the best discounts on Boston hotels. We can also help you find deals on business hotels in Boston if you need a spot with extra amenities like conference rooms or fax machines.

Make your trip to Beantown and the Financial District easier and cheaper when you reserve your stay with Expedia. You can’t always count on business going your way, but you can always depend on our Best Price Guarantee.
