Nice place, and I liked everything with some little exceptions. Coffee could be better, it is bitter and has no flavor to my taste. Also, butter on my pancakes was spoiled: it had oxidized bitter taste, probably too old. But other than that, the food was good, and I would stay in this hotel again.

Wonderful staff, great menu-always happy to assist us. Laid back vibe with all the amenities you need. We stayed in the Lighthouse room upstairs at the beachfront- beautiful. Lots of loungers & comfortable seating 👏👍😎🌴🏊

I tried cancelling my reservation because of the Taal eruption & they denied our cancellation & did not refund! My wife & I have respiratory problems & can't be subjected to ash fall. No sympathy at all!

The staff was so attentive and hospitable. I have never seen a group of people so passionate about their work and dedication to help their patrons. The hotel is not 5 star by any means, but you certainly feels like it is by how they treat you. Amazing! Would definitely come back here!

Fantastic Hotel. All staff are the most friendliest people you will ever meet. Most importantly the manager of the hotel is the nicest guy possible. He does everything possible to make you happy. We asked to stay one extra night passed our booking date and he upgraded us to the King Suite room for our regular room price. We didn't even ask for it but he gave it to us. Totally recommend staying here.

Enjoyable stay at Calypso
We really enjoyed our stay at Calypso as first timers to Boracay. Friendly staff, great dive shop and hotel is in good location. We had some trouble with the air conditioner when we first arrived and whilst the hotel fixed this promptly, it was still annoying since it was so hot and it took us 3-4 hours to have a cooled down room. Some minor compensation would have gone a long way to relieving our stress, but this sort of consideration obviously not in Calypso’s agenda.

It was an ocean view room on the beach. Breakfast was included and the room was cleaned each day while we had our breakfast. Nice place to stay for a beach vacation.

amazing place, incredible sunsets
great location on the best beach on the island, white beach, dive centre top quality good new equipment and arnie was a top instructor! staff are amazingly friendly. great breakfast selection superior rooms are great but well worth upgrading to a sea view as they have sun loungers on the balcony. would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This was a great resort to stay at. Far enough away from the crowds at station 2 but still close enough for the nice restaurants and bars. The staff was great and always helpful. The restaurant was great! Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Boracay.

Outdated, dirty, smell of mold. Mold in the shower. Wanted my money back and they decided to give me a room which was less cleaner then the other. The worst infested hotel I beein my life.

The hotel is great, the view from the balcony was excellent. Breakfast is so-so, just adequate. Wish it was buffet, for the price we paid for the room. The beach access was great.

Not worth the $
1. Due to weather conditions, the port to Boracay from Caticlan was closed, which meant we could not take a boat into the island. Despite having advance notice (the port was closed the day before and that morning), the hotel did not notify us this was occurring until after check-in time on the day of, so we were left stranded in Caticlan. 2. We stayed on the 3rd (top) floor which was supposed to have ocean view but please see for yourself, it was not ocean view. 3. There was no water in the room: could not flush toilet, could not shower, brush teeth, etc. Other rooms in the hotel did have water, as did neighboring hotels, so it was not an issue caused by the storm that day as we were told. We were told we could shower in other rooms before guests checked in for the day. Absurd we did not get refund when there was NO WATER and were told hotel was at 100% occupancy. 4. Breakfast at the restaurant was a C, service was an D-. 5. Location and cleanliness was fine, but lots of other options nearby.

The hotel is nice and the diving is great. My biggest problem is the Internet was very iffy in the rooms and very very slow in the restaurant. People are great and tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible

What you see is what you get
The room is spacious, food was good, staff were courteous some requests had to be repeatedly asked for though. AC in the room needs repair, didn't reach the temp we wanted.

Friendly staff. Rather strict with check-out time though when in fact we waited for extended 2 hrs. before we were able to check-in since guest is still inside when we arrived. Room is nice and comfortable. No hot shower for bath but only in faucet. You feel safe in this place. Food is very good and affordable considering the serving. We liked their Pizza! Crunchy and tasty. Over-all, we had a very nice stay in this hotel.

Ideal diving resort, perfect location and service
Great service, friendly staff, good meals, great diving locations, and professional diving staff and set up... The hotel is right on the beach, with lounge chairs available for guests during the day, which are replaced by bean bags and little tables at night to enjoy the sunset with some drinks. I would go back tomorrow if I could. A wonderful trip, and a wonderful resort. The wifi was not reliable in the room, but very good access in the main areas.

Boracays best dive shop!
Amazing hotel with a great dive shop. The hotel employees was very attentive and room where perfect with a nice little outdoor area. The dive crew was super professional and very knowledgeable about everything related to diving, the dive sites but also what else to do on the island.

Noisy rooms. Great diving staff.
Go there for the diving. The diving crew were fantastic. Mif and Nika were very professional and made the stay a memorable one. The room was clean and had a good view however the experience was ruined by the hectic music played in the bar which could be heard and felt in the room. Not worth staying at unless you are planning to party until the early hours of the morning and sleep during the day.

If you are going for a couple of days to boracay just stick to a beach front property no matter how much it costs. Calypso is located right next to the lively station one but surprisingly peaceful and quiet. Its beach front is well maintained, clean, quiet, property is very cosy ,very clean, good service , nice ambiance at sunset . The security staff was particularly very attentive. Good breakfast - selection from menu- plus if you are in to diving it is a well organised professional diving club. check it out , you wont be disappointed!
