The rooms are very clean, well kept, and regularly cleaned, just like the restaurant and other common areas. You can clearly see the attention to cleanliness and guest comfort. The food is tasty and fresh, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant. Special recognition goes to the staff – extremely kind, helpful, and always smiling. We had the best of both worlds with a more foilage view from our back patio and a quick few steps across the street to the pool, beach among other amenities. Great servuce. Large room. Large bathroom. Dock right at the beach for water excursion pickup and drop off. Right near Matira beach (about 10 minute walk) and close to a few great restaurants and the Tiare market. We rented bikes and also scooters through the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a Polynesian buffet and show the night we checked in which was great. I loved the room decorations and design with a 70s style. The bed is comfortable, and there is a daybed as well. The surrounding grounds are lush and beautiful. The hotel has great bikes for rent. If you walk or bike north of the hotel, you can reach abandoned luxury hotels and enjoy views over the mountain. At a shorter distance to the south, you’ll reach some restaurants, grocery shops, and Matira beach. The beach at the hotel has coral. There is plenty of fish and also stingrays. The lights at night make it possible to observe the fish, which is a nice feature. The pool is small but nice, though it is located by the bar, so I preferred using it outside of meal hours. Unfortunately, I got sick after dinner on my last night, so my final evening was not pleasant.
