It's in a wonderful location, only 7 minutes to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, near great grocery stores and restaurants, and Booth Bay Village. In particular, there was a five star view from the deck! It was a very peaceful stay! We were thrilled to see a pair of Common Loons frequently calling from the lake. We saw Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Heron, and even a rare Northern Waterthrush! The hosts were incredibly helpful and nice! They helped make it a wonderful holiday trip. The bedrooms are on either side with their own baths and the middle acts as a common area with a living room and kitchen. There is a little dock in deep water that’s great for swimming. Kayaks are provided and the lake is chock full of good sized bass. We saw loons hawks and even a bald eagle fishing on the lake. Once unpacked, we felt at home, so comfortable, easy to relax. I could sit on that deck forever!! Such a beautiful area. Views are stunning, stars at night, amazing! It’s so quiet and peaceful there. Everything you need in a kitchen, though we did not cook while there. Bedroom (with 2 beds) has a HUGE closet, including hangers. Beds are comfortable and plenty of pillows. The home is cozy and has a gorgeous view of the lake. With a private dock, it made for the perfect place to take a dip in the water and go kayaking. Not to mention it's only 10 minutes from all the Boothbay restaurants and activities, so needless to say, we really took advantage of all the seafood spots!
