Pros: a nice screened in porch and additional outside seating areas, overall pretty clean, a well-equipped kitchen and large living space. The cabin is tucked into the wooded and secluded Sprucewold neighborhood. This is a 1920s log cabin and you are getting a 1920s bathroom as well -- it's doable, but just something to be aware of! With the nostalgia of the place comes the nostalgia of old appliances - which worked fine! You can also hear everything in this cabin, so if you are overly concerned with privacy this is not for you. Overall, just be mindful of what you are renting -- our kids enjoyed it and it was a unique and beautiful area. ##### Adrian C. Be prepared to stay in a real log cabin, plank floors, pitched log walls and all. Rustic as I mentioned yet still has the creature comforts we like to take for granted, plenty of hot water, full kitchen including a dishwasher, and internet connection. Close to everything that the Boothbay Region has to offer. The cabin is rustic, charming and has everything you need for modern amenities including great WiFi service. The history of the Sprucewold area is wonderful. The cabin was comfortable and has a ton of character. The only negative was the overnight temps combined with no heat made for an interesting morning. The cabin has a beautiful stone fireplace that we used for the evening but not overnight and space heaters are provided. Pros were it has lots of atmosphere and is very close to lots of Boothbay Harbor area shops, restaurants and sight seeing spots.
