Georgetown doesn’t have much going on, but there are numerous nice small towns to visit within 15-30 minute drive. A little farther gets you to Portland and Freeport. Being a large family with teens to an infant, it's hard to find a property that works for everyone. This had enough space to spread out, but also ideal spots to all spend time together. It was clean, comfortable, and the hosts could not have been better. The location was quiet and private, but within easy drives to both Reid and Popham State Parks. You are out in the woods and the deer will literally come within 15 feet of the deck to feed. There are trees everywhere and sitting on the large patio drinking coffee every morning was heaven. They also have a great hot tub to soak in at the end of the day on the patio. The owners couldn't have been nicer and one of them was actually there to great us when we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed. When we had a question they answered it and when we had an issue with the washing machine they came right over and fixed it. You do have to travel a little on some country roads to get to the resident and you are about 10-15 minutes from most of the restaurants in Bath or Georgetown, but if you want solitude and country beauty this is the perfect place for you and your family. ##### Randy M. There was space for us to gather together as well as ample room for us to spread out for a quiet afternoon of reading or relaxing. The great location allowed us to easily make day trips both north and south to explore the coast of Maine. The home was comfortable, very clean and all areas were ready for our use. The outdoor fire pit, gas grill and fully stocked kitchen allowed us to easily cook meals together. Laurie had thought of everything…cooking sheets, bowls, mixer, you name it; she had it! The TV and surround sound were nice for late night movies & popcorn with the family. Laurie was very thorough with information & directions for entering, managing and closing the home. It was nestled in the trees and was quiet and peaceful. It was large enough for 2 families to enjoy. The outdoor hot tub was an added bonus and we loved making s'mores around the fire. The additional living room was great for the kids and it meant they could watch a movie while we hung out in the 'other' living room. The owners are great - responded quickly to all my texts and even bought us some beach towels when I inquired if the home had any. I highly recommend this home.
