The property was so quiet and private, with wonderful nature to observe. Loved our morning coffee on the front deck listening to the bird songs. Had a great time exploring the area, and appreciated the hosts suggestions for historic spots, restaurants, etc. The cabin is quintessentially rustic and full of charm. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the laundry in the basement (but never did find the iron and ironing board.) The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We did bring our rating down just a bit due to the cobwebs and dust/dirt inside the cabin, as well as the back porch. Also, the landscaping around the cabin seems to have gotten a bit out of control, which detracts from the cute structure that it is. Overall, very nice place! ##### Mark P. One thing I would add to the listing (maybe I missed it) was how big the lot is. If you enjoy being surrounded by beautifully manicured wilderness then this is the place for you. The fire pit is perfect size. There is a wood pile to chop up some lumber for the fire (nice workout). It’s so nice to just unplug, take in a deep breath of country air and relax by a crackling fire. Also - you can’t beat the price ! All of the amenities were excellent! There was a black stone grill there to cook up your favorite mess free breakfasts with an adorable table next to it to eat. There’s also great state parks (we went to two of them). Do yourself a favor and get to this rental. You’ll be happy you did. ##### Jason M. Jul 27, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Long weekend close to Catoctin National Park and Wildlife Preserve Great little cabin that easily accommodated our family of 5 for a long weekend. This cabin was well appointed, and even had enough hooks to hang towels after showers - my biggest pet peeve in a short term rental! The little window unit in the loft worked hard, but it did its job keeping that sleeping area cool and comfortable. The grounds had been recently mowed, which was made exploring the grounds around the cabin fun for my boys. The roads and driveway were not uncomfortably steep for our minivan. We truly enjoyed our weekend and wished we'd left a little more time to actually explore boonesboro more! ##### Vanna U.
