We visited Franklin County for a family reunion and were delighted withthis historic VRBO property. It exceeded all our expectations and made our gathering truly special. The cozy and well-stocked house comfortably accommodated 6 adults, two children, and our dog. It was spotlessly clean, and the spacious living areas were perfect for quality family time. The real highlight was the incredible countryside views. Waking up to stunning sunrises over the Blue Ridge mountains was a magical experience. The kids had a blast playing in the nearby creek, adding to the fun. The property's location was ideal, with easy access to Roanoke, Rocky Mount, and Smith Mountain Lake. It allowed us to explore the area and reconnect with our roots, as our family had moved away over the last decade. In summary, our stay at this historic house was fantastic. It provided a comfortable and cozy base for our family reunion, with incredible views and nearby attractions to enhance our experience. Loved the potential to stay in an historic property, but with all the amenities. Loved the log cabin vibe, the cows (no smell at all) and watching the ground hogs graze. It was clean and very accommodating, and the host was AWESOME! It was definitely in the perfect location for us to be able to visit all of our family, whom we hadn’t seen in years. We absolutely enjoyed spending the Fourth of July in Rhonda’s lovely home. From the moment we arrived, it was clear she’s the epitome of the perfect host—always friendly, responsive, and ready to help. When I ran into a few hiccups on my end, Rhonda went above and beyond, making the process stress‑free.The property itself is a true gem. We spent time beside the babbling creek, watching cows graze in the pasture and deer wandering through the property. My 13‑year‑old grandson was fascinated by the history of the Inn and couldn’t get enough of the antiques throughout the house and on the property.We truly enjoyed of our stay and can’t wait to return in the fall.
