Paved roads provide easy access to the parking for Still Lake Haven. There are 16 steps to enter the top level condo with privacy and mountain views. The kitchen has new, black appliances and bar seating for four guests. The living room has a gas log fireplace for chilly nights, cable TV, and enough seating for everyone to relax together. On the main floor are both bedrooms. The master features a king sized bed with a sleep number mattress, cable TV, and deck access. The private bath has a tub-shower combo and a large vanity with mirror. The second bedroom has two twins, a TV with DVD player, and access to the second full bath. A laundry station is in the hallway just off of the kitchen. Upstairs is a loft with a queen bed and a full bed. Guests staying in Still Lake Haven have access to both of Echota Resort's clubhouses. One clubhouse, just down the road, offers an indoor pool and hot tub, a fitness center, and event space. The Ridge Clubhouse at the top of the mountain offers an outdoor pool with a waterfall and mountain views, another fitness room, a game room, and more event space. Echota Resort also offers several wonderful hiking walking and trails, a riverside park, and in-club catch & release fishing at either of two stocked ponds. \- Pets are absolutely not permitted in Echota Resort. Guests of Still Lake Haven have access privileges to all the following Echota amenities: \- Indoor & Outdoor Swimming Pools (Please reference Echota map. One pool is restricted, and designated for Echota homeowners) \- Watauga River Trout Fishing \- Stocked Fishing Pond \- Club House Fitness Centers \- Hiking & Biking Trails \- Bocce Ball \- Outdoor Sports Recreation Area Note: Many photos on this web listing reflect Echota amenities which are available for our guest's enjoyment but are not physically located at the Lodge. All Echota homes have an additional amenity fee of $15/day in order to maintain the luxurious amenities that is capped at $70 total for your stay. If you are staying more than 5 nights, please reach out to us so that we can manually override this fee. Additional Important Notes: \- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided. \- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am \- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. \- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. \- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. \- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. \- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. \-This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. \- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. The beds were comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The gas fireplace provided evening ambiance & added warmth. The washer/dryer was very beneficial to pack lighter. Roads were salted quickly in the community after snowfall & local roads posed no problem for the light snowfall. The indoor clubhouse pool/spa was a useful bonus during our stay - nice to enjoy swimming & the hot tub after days on the slopes, despite the cold temperatures outdoors. ;) The downside was the limited dining area with only 4 barstools at the bar top. (We did bring the balcony table & chairs in when needed for additional dining & game playing ability.) Overall, we had a good experience from beginning to end with this VRBO, the community, & the local area activities we enjoyed while in NC. (Side note: two days prior to leaving, my husband had a sledding accident requiring medical attention. We have stayed in Echota properties many times, but this has been our favorite condo to stay in! This condo has lots of space and lots of charm. We immediately felt right at home. A sleep number bed in the master bedroom made for some AMAZING nights of sleep. This condo is conveniently located within walking distance to the indoor pool, and we would go early (between 7-9 am) and have the whole pool to ourselves for a few hours each morning. In addition, we enjoyed walking/running around the property and visiting the indoor pool on a rainy day. We'll definitely be back. (Not affecting the quality of our stay - the refrigerator made a shuttering sound when using the water dispenser). ##### Brittany S.
