This beautiful home is walking distance to the Valle Crucis Apple Barn and the Crab Orchard Falls. The Crab Orchard Creek rolls through the front yard, offering a place for children to fish or play. Once the first house in Valle Crucis to have electricity, this home is now a renovated luxury home with four bedrooms, three full baths, and both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Only 1 mile from the Mast General Store and the idyllic Valle Crucis Community Park, you'll enjoy the peaceful setting while still being close to Boone or Banner Elk. Guests may use the new EV charger while at the home. Walk up the stairs to the covered deck and enter Orchard House. There are two sitting areas on the main level; one is centered around a decorative fireplace (will be converted to gas this summer), the other around the TV. Youtube TV and fiberoptic internet give you access to live sports, movies, and more. The dining table expands to comfortably seat the whole house. In the kitchen, you'll find the charming farmhouse sink surrounded by the newest stainless steel appliances. For the coffee lovers, there is a drip pot, espresso machine, and a grinder for the freshest mug to start the day. The built in oven and gas cooktop will make dinners and meal prep a breeze. On the main level is the Queen bedroom. There is a full bathroom that opens to both the hallway for guests and also to the queen bedroom. The bath has a clawfoot tub with showerhead and curtain and a pedestal sink. Upstairs are the remaining three bedrooms. The King suite has a private TV and a desk for work or school. The private bath has a tiled shower with bench. The third bedroom has another King bed, also with a desk. The third full bath opens to this bedroom and the hallway. It has another clawfoot tub with shower head and curtain and two pedestal sinks. The fourth bedroom has a Queen sleeper sofa and 50" smart TV with a Playstation 4 (selection of games included). There is also a Twin over Twin bunkbed and board games. Each level of the home has a separate Nest thermostat to keep everyone comfortable. The deck has a wood-burning fireplace and 50" Streaming TV with comfortable seating around it. Dine at the outdoor table; cook on the gas grill, or soak in the hot tub. Steps lead down to the lower yard where the fire pit is located, alongside the creek. OFF-PEAK SPECIAL: Stay longer than the minimum number of nights and automatically receive a 5-15% Discount- Excluding Holidays. Guests returning to Orchard House may receive a discount of 5%, not to be combined with other discounts to the room rent. Important Notes: \- Firewood for the outdoor fireplace and firepit may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night. \- Please note that this home is in a neighborhood with full time residents living nearby. The neighborhood has strict noise restrictions after 10pm. \- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided. \- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am \- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. \- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. \- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. \- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. \- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. If you love Valle Crucis, this is the home for you. We enjoyed walking to the Valle Country Fair and trout fishing in the creek on the property. The home is clean and well appointed. Had fires on the porch two evenings. Watched college football outside and enjoyed the hot tub. Neighbors are close by and on two nights a neighbor spent an hour blowing leaves with a gasoline powered blower. Beautiful claw footed tubs are nice for bathing, but awkward to shower in. The set up Is great for a group that includes kids. Beds were comfortable, very nice appliances. The house was well stocked with cooking supplies and they have a very thorough binder of information about things to do in the area. We enjoyed the porch and fireplace and the kids loved playing in the creek. Our only complaint is that the property manager only provides one towel per person, which wasn’t ideal with a house full of kids.
