Technically, everything was presented as listed. However, there were no extra blankets and it took the unit a long time to warm up after arriving to thermostats set at 55, outdoor temp was 15 with an overnight low of 10\. The beds only had sheets and a thin coverlet, burrr. The beds need some attention. The king mattress has obvious indentations , like you basically look at it made and see exactly where the “other” bodies laid lol. The bunk bed was so loud , squeaky I questioned if it would hold through the night. One tv never worked. That being said it technically met the listing details. The entrance to the place is very off setting. Nothing the owner of the unit can change. No hot water this morning. We only stayed one night so, no time to call and get it fixed before checkout. We all get a 3 hour ride home with no shower. I think a public breakfast is now out of the question. If your staying a few days i would recommend its cozy and really close to a ski lift, very clean. Check in is at 4 and office closes at 4\. Not sure how to get parking and amenity passses, not sure where amenities are located. No property map. Easy access, nice views of surrounding mountains and towns. No need for AC at 5000 feet, but if that is deal breaker, it does not have air. However, the unit built in to the earth on the front side and open in rear and has no heat issues. We went in late June and it was cool both day and night. Actually perfect temperatures. Intermediate drive to local attractions and restaurants, but only probably 20 minutes to Banner Elk. The place itself is fairly standard, but is very clean and has everything you need to self sustain on groceries. Also, TV and WiFi were working. Very pleased for the daily rate. ##### Kurt H. I’m trying to communicate with the property manager, no one was able to make any adjustments to the reservation or contact anyone for a different location. We finally made the decision to find a hotel 30 minutes away. The rental company was so hard to work with and had no sense of urgency. In the morning, upon options provided 2 hour later, they actually asked if we “checked out” - why would we have stayed!?!? We should have known when the incorrect address was provided, it was heading in the wrong direction. Mattresses are the worst ever dating back to college days. Worst than a hard Mattresses is the soft engulfing with absolutely no support. Nice location on the slopes, so a pretty view from the balcony. Kitchen is small but has everything we needed. Plenty of dining space for 4 at the table and 4 at the bar; comfortable sofa. Games and puzzles provided. Plenty of storage space. Tubs are very narrow and bathrooms are small but this would be perfect for two couples or a couple with children. The second bedroom has a neat single over double bed. Loved the location and Vacasa helped us with rebooking to this unit when we accidentally booked for the wrong date. The address is written 2 different ways, one being incorrect so that was confusing on gps. The hallway freshener smells really bad. However, the view is amazing, the neighbors were awesome, the picnic/bbq was great. The bed in the second bedroom was comfortable and there was plenty of cooking/dishes.
