It is in a great location only two miles from downtown Banner Elk and a short drive to Boone and Blowing Rock. The hot tub was a relaxing treat after full days of exploring. All the extra amenities we needed were provided (more than I have experienced in other rentals). The fence in the front yard gave us peace of mind to let our dog and 1 1/2 year old roam while we all spent time outside. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. It was only 5 minutes from downtown Banner Elk. It does sit along a road and with it being a busy weekend for fall foliage and Octoberfest going on, it was understandable for the traffic to be more than usual (this was only during the day, at night it was quiet) We saw lots of deer and chipmunks on the property during our stay. Property is right on the main road but once inside you can’t even hear the cars, it’s not bad at all. We didn’t have any issues with it. The location is just so convenient to everything. We did wish that the out door fire pit was not so close to the road, we didn’t use that but the indoor fireplace was a dream and the owners were so kind and very communicative. We enjoyed everything about the house except the location. When I booked I didn’t realize it was so close to the road. The noise from the traffic was very loud. Sleep was disturbed also.
