Multi-million dollar custom home within the prestigious Eagles Nest development, featuring two master suites with fireplaces, gourmet kitchen equipped with a Keurig Duo, pool table, XBOX game system with 2 games, six total fireplaces plus an outdoor fire pit, breathtaking long-range views and an easy hike over to the Great Camp area. NOTE: Since Eagles Nest is a premier mountain destination, new home construction is prevalent on the mountain. Be aware that you are likely to experience some heavier than usual traffic on the mountain between the hours of 7-8am and 4-5pm. You may also hear construction sounds from homes being built on the same street, or new mountain amenities being added nearby. With a large amount of decks and outdoor living space it is ever so easy to take advantage of the amazing mountain views for miles and miles. Just a few of the finishes that make this such a spectacular home are the post and beam style great room with western red cedar and Douglas fir, solid walnut floors and heart of pine custom doors, multiple fireplaces, large hot tub and impressive stone fire pit area. Professionally decorated with all the best comforts and conveniences, Big Bear Lodge has always been one of our most popular Eagles Nest vacation homes. This inviting luxury home offers an open floor plan on the main level, perfect for taking in the breathtaking long-range views during the day and counting the stars at night. Comfortable seating, a large flat-screen television and wood-burning fireplace complement the living area, along with custom bark and twig accents. The kitchen is a joy for the chef, with a wonderful Thermador gas range, unique custom wood and granite counters and another opportunity to enjoy the views. Enjoy your meal in comfortable leather chairs gathered around the large custom glass dining table, or during warm weather just gather around the large outdoor dining table located at the best vantage point to take in the mountain splendor. The first master bedroom is located on the main level, with king bed, gas fireplace and enticing master bath complete with large soaking tub and oversize steam shower. Solid walls up to a traditional ceiling height open to to the lofted ceilings, allowing more natural light in these spaces. Upstairs, find the loft with two twin beds, and your second master bedroom, with a majestic king bed, gas fireplace, large flat-screen television with a similar wall structure as the main level suite, and unique master bath (this one features a lovely oversized claw foot tub). Downstairs, guests will enjoy the welcoming family room, again with large windows to take in the views. Comfortable seating, unique log furnishings and a gas fireplace exude the mountain aura, and the large flat screen television is perfect for movie night while others enjoy a game of pool. Or step out onto the deck and enjoy a soak in the large hot tub. The final two bedrooms are also on this level, each with a custom queen bed and deck access. Big Bear Lodge also offers a fantastic stone outdoor fire pit area that looks like it came right out of a national park and two outdoor fireplaces on the decks. Or, hike down the road to the Great Camp area. Construction noises may be heard 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday. \- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. All linens and towels included in home. \- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am \- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent. \- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. \- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. \- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. \- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. I recommend bringing your own streaming devices. Also, if you go to the winery know that you cannot get back into eagles nest thru the same gate you initially went thru. There is a road out but you have to leave the community then re enter through the main gate. I only say this because we panicked a little but the agency was very helpful with guiding us out. ##### Mary P. The grill was ancient, with no working ignition, which Blueridge Rentals knew. The solution was to drop off a lighter the next afternoon that we had to use to grill. The grill itself was so old that the owners had written the temp settings in marker on the knobs. Its a health hazard! It didn't even cook evenly when it was finally lit. The upstairs outside fireplace wasn't working as the pilot light was out. When it was fixed the next day, we found the timer switch was broken and the fire had been on all night. Again - its a health hazard. With two young kids, this was an issue and we had to constantly call the management company to get anything done. We were constantly fobbed off and when they finally got someone to come and look at the issues, we had to go back to the property as he didn't have a key. The guy eventually let himself in via the garage. The place was probably nice when it was built 20-odd years ago but hasnt been updated since. The kitchen is full of odd pots and pans that look like someone's old cast-offs, the cooking utensils are also old (blunt knives, etc), had barely enough wine glasses for two adults and again they looked as if they were bought in a second-hand store. Dishwasher was old and only the top half worked which we found out was a complaint made some time ago by another guest! Can't be bothered to list anymore of the issues but haven't been contacted by Customer Service and when I emailed to complain, they merely fobbed me off with an email saying they had forwarded my complaint to the same woman who was unresponsive in the first place (Linda). Wouldn't trust these people ever. ##### Matthew D. Our teen loved having her own master suite. Our younger children enjoyed hide and seek around the home. The owner called us about a critter issue after hearing about it from the rental company (it is the mountains after all) she was very kind and concerned. The rental company, however, was a little frustrating. We asked to extend our stay and was told the property was available. We made plans to do so and then found out from the rental agency that it actually wasn’t possible. Very annoying after hiring a pet sitter and rental vehicle ( needed AWD) for extra time. We got snowed it for a day and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be stuck. Gorgeous views and great family bonding. ##### Jessica B. The hot tub did not work and the freezer in the kitchen did not work while we were there. The showers were AMAZING! Only basement I've been in with a porch attached.
