Cabin furnishings with new kitchen and bathroom. Great location, 5 minute walk to downtown with its many shops and great restaurants. Private backporch is up in the trees. It's approx 10 minutes to ski at Sugar and Beech Mountain. Five minute walk to Lees-McRae College. Dogs & cats allowed, maximum limit of 2, under 40lbs. There were so many cozy decorative touches. We were in Banner Elk to visit Lees McRae and it was fun to be able to look down at the college and hear the 'bells' ring. The grounds were also lovely. We were a convenient distance to the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster as well as Grandfather Mountain. The host was amazingly responsive - even responding right away when we arrived at midnight and my GPS was trying to take me off the end of the road. We had family staying elsewhere in Banner Elk and used that location a lot but the house was clean, beds comfortable and the porch was a great place to relax. Being able to bring our dogs was a big plus. Our one suggestion is to add more outlets in the kitchen. Unless we unplugged the microwave or coffee maker, we had to plug the toaster in by the TV in the living room. Overall, thanks for a great stay! We would definitely come back! ##### cathy n.
