High speed internet for work or school distance learning. Chetola and Blowing Rock suffered only minor damage from hurricane Helene, and is now back in fully functioning mode. Now that power, internet, water and roads have been re-established Blowing Rock welcomes and needs people to come and enjoy their hospitality so that they can restore their livelihoods and get back to the wonderful mountain life we love. Holly 5 is located in the beautiful Chetola Resort, a gated community rated by Southern Living as "one of the best stays in the Blue Ridge" with a gorgeous lake with swans, walking trails, restaurant with seating in and out, indoor pool, health spa, tennis courts and much more. A one level, upstairs end unit with a large, covered balcony, offering views of the beautiful mountain landscape, this fully renovated unit evokes the rustic mountain atmosphere with its shiplap and reclaimed wood accents; yet with all the modern conveniences of today. Free Wi-Fi, a 48” HD flat-screen TV, gas log fireplace with remote, and all new furnishings as well as a fully stocked kitchen with granite counter-tops and stainless appliances are just a few of the comforts we offer. The bright and open floor-plan lends itself to easy and relaxed living at its best. The master suite has a king bed and spa bath with granite counters, large jetted tub and separate tile shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and full bath just outside in the hallway. Cool-gel memory foam mattresses and upscale linen will help you get a great night\`s sleep and be ready for next day\`s adventures. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room accommodates two additional guests. This unit offers access to all club amenities at Chetola: rec center with fitness, indoor pool, dry sauna, 10 person hot tub; tennis courts and paddle boats. Massages and other spa services are available for a fee. Fishing is also available and skeet shooting is available for a fee. Just a 15-20 minute walk away is Blowing Rock, a scenic mountain village with quaint stores, coffee shops, galleries, antiques, friendly merchants, gourmet restaurants, and beautiful scenery. If you prefer outlet shopping, we are a 10 minute walk from the Shoppes on the Parkway. The charming and larger town of Boone and Appalachian State University are only a 10 minute drive away. 18 hole golf courses are just around the corner. Adjoining the property is Moses Cone State Park. It offers miles of walking trails and Bass Lake for you anglers. Take the day to drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visit Grandfather Mountain or Linville Gorge and Caverns, or visit Tweetsie Railroad (reopens Nov 29th), go snow skiing, horseback riding, or whitewater rafting. . Year round events include the Symphony by the Lake, the Blowing Rock Winterfest Polar Plunge, and the Blue Ridge Wine Festival. You can feel very safe in Chetola with gate guards and security. There is a wonderful on-site restaurant with a cozy bar and friendly, helpful staff. In the summertime you may be offered s’mores roasted over a fire-pit by the lake. Every summer the Charlotte symphony visits and plays on the grounds overlooking the lake, where you may bring a picnic. You may also fish, walk or paddle-boat around the lake in the summer. The tennis courts are located just outside the condo, and hiking trails start right outside the door. Enjoy pleasantly warm days, and cool nights in the summer or enjoy a winter wonderland during ski-season. The tennis courts are not lighted and are not open after dark. Whether you are looking for a family vacation or a romantic get-away, you will always look forward to coming home to Chetola. Payment is due as follows: 50% upon reservation; balance at least 4 weeks prior to stay; lock-box combo with key will be provided within three days of your stay. Cancellation refund is 100% within 30 days of stay and 50% within two weeks. We highly recommend buying late cancellation insurance protection, since there are no exceptions to this rule. Good amenities with modern and upgraded kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable. However it wasnt as clean as we expected, bed and linen would smell as if it wasnt washed. Sofa bed was torn and bedhseet was soiled. Bathroom had spider web and bugs. We have stayed in this same unit multiple times. It's awesome. It's a second floor unit which is great bc theres no noise from above like we've experienced in some lower level Chetola condos. The condo is clean, quiet, and super comfortable. The deck is great, the gas fireplace is cozy, and there's plenty of space to spread out. And its only a 2-minute walk from the front door to The Maze trail in Moses Cone. Will definitely be back again and again. ##### Larry M.
