"one of the best home made hotels stayed...very friendly..the cleanliness is almost equal to 4 star hotels. My family really enjoyed the stay and we plan to stay in same hotel just to enjoy the peace there. My kids enjoyed with beautifull kittens . The breakfast is good enough."

"The hotel has a very good restaurant, or the nice and popular restaurant also has some rooms. It was very convenient to stay next to the restaurant. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
The owners and all the staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent."

"Het was een supervriendelijke ontvangst door Petra. Zij gaf goede info en gaf tips voor goede restaurants. Een 10 op 10 waard.
Een mooie kamer . Een prachtige omgeving. Een fijn zwembad om na een heerlijke dag nog te verpozen aan het bad."

"Absolutely lovely hotel in a stunningly restored Renaissance palazzo. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. Spotless clean, excellent service, and tasteful rooms in a scenic little town with few tourists. Ideal for day trips to Asti, Alba, Fossano, Cuneo, and other culturally relevant sites in the Piemonte. We fell in love with Mondovi, its excellent restaurants, and the calm genius loci. Barbara and Massimo, the owners, gave us a tour of the palazzo and the neighborhood....

"A Wonderful Stay – Like Visiting Family in Italy
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The couple who run this charming B&B are not only professional but truly caring — you can feel that they put their heart into everything they do.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and full of small thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was with fresh fruits, delicious coffee or tea. We checked-in late so could personalise our breakfast but...

"Stunning Villa with everything within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, clean and really beautiful. Loved the blackout blinds as well. Laundry is available for use which was great for us after four weeks of traveling. Special mention to Andra who went above and beyond for us really appreciate everything she did.
Only area for improvement would be breakfast, could be a bit less clunky with the ordering system etc and our order was always a bit wrong. Quality of the food was really good though"
Amazing Villa in Piedmont, Italy, Views, Wine Country, Pool, Mountains, WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"We use VRBO a lot for family vacations in the US and abroad. We stayed at San Lorenzo in late July 2026. This was our second trip, the first being 7 years ago at a property nearby with the same owner. We had a family and friend group of 8. Couldn't have been better! The house and grounds are beautiful, the kitchen is amazing. Fully stocked for anyone who likes to cook. Bedrooms and baths were plentiful and comfortable and had AC. The pool area and outdoor dining area are wonderful with amazing views, which had everyone relaxing. A highlight was using the outdoor wood fired brick oven to make delicious homemade pizza using host Clay's dough recipe. We took advantage of several activities coordinated by Clay. Everyone loved pasta making class and the great lunch after. We did an e-bike tour of the Barolo region which included lunch and a winery visit. It was a unique experience for our young adult travelers. We also had Chef Filippo come to the house and prepare an amazing dinner for us all one night. The Chefs were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. We went to the coast for a day on the beach at a family owned beach club. All were fabulous. The host is building a winery on the property and graciously invited us to a party with his team to celebrate the completion of the roof, a festo del tetto, which is an Italian thing. Great wine and fun experience. Highly recommend and we plan on returning."
"I only rated this property a 4 because of the mattress, pillows and shower stall. The property is beautiful, well maintained and has stunning views! Breakfast was good and part of the room stay. A small complimentary bottle of wine is given to guests on day of arrival but there is no complimentary water. The beds were not comfortable. You could feel the wire coil springs when you lay down. The pillows are flat, so if you’re used to a soft pillow there are none. July is a very hot time of year and the room we stayed in was very warm (25 Celsius which is about 77 Degrees in F). There are too many mosquitoes to open windows to let cooler air in the evening. We had personal portable fans which we used to try to keep cool. We only stayed 2 nights so it was somewhat bearable. We did love the area. The hotel sits at the top of the mountain so definitely wear comfortable shoes to walk the hilly cobblestone paths"
"Quaint little hotel. Fantastic views.
Very nice room with decent sized balcony.
Comfy bed. Very comfy.
Staff were brilliant. Efficient and friendly.
Very nice breakfast selection.
Super swiming pool.
Great views again."
