Excellent place to stay and great location
This was by far our biggest (pleasant) surprise of our trip. At first we missed the hotel due to the scaffolding surrounding the building, but once inside, it was more than what we expected. Very helpful and friendly service. Big room and very clean. Excellent location (300 meters from Piazza Maggiore). Very complete breakfast.

Disappointed
it was terrible. The room was dated the bed was extremely uncomfortable and as hard as a rock. The floor wasn’t that clean. The bathroom wasn’t in the room it was across the hall. And hotels.com completely misrepresented this hotel. The whole building was under construction they were scaffolding all around the building it was very dusty. There were hidden charges that I was not told about. The front desk staff was not friendly at all. However breakfast was amazing it was a great breakfast at the people who ran the breakfast were very nice and accommodating. Add the location was actually excellent. But I will never stay that whole tell again. It’s a shame because it could be so much nicer than what it was. I am very disappointed in hotels.com as well because I called hotels.com to complain about the situation with the room at hotels.com did absolutely nothing which I will probably not use them again. After many years of using hotels.com I have never been so disappointed.

A small apartment hotel located on the 3rd floor of a building located adjacent to the historic district. We walked from Bologna Central Rail Station in about 20 minutes. Excellent, large rooms. Our group had rooms 4 and 9. Concierge service until midnight. Awesome breakfast room. Short walk to historic district. Many restaurants and bars close by. Highly recommend this hotel. Rate on Expedia.ca was outstanding.

Great reasonably priced hotel pretty centrally located in Bologna. Room was relatively large and up a small flight of stairs from reception area (a bit of a surprise since there was an elevator, but it didn't go to this set of rooms). Room was nice and quiet, blocking out pretty much all street noise. Front desk staff was helpful with ZTL information and generally very friendly. Breakfast was great, very good selection of cold and couple of warm entrees.

The service was very welcoming and accommodating. The bedding was a little dusty and the room overall could have been cleaned a little deeper. The location was very good, close to a lot of shopping and restaurants.

Excellent location. Comfortable bed. Excellent and friendly service. The room had a damp / stuffy smell, had to open the windows all night to be able to sleep. The bathroom smelled bad too. I won't be coming back here.

Nice Hotel in the Heart of Bologna
The hotel is conveniently located near the major historic sites and museums. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the hotel has a nice breakfast in the morning. The hotel has an unusual layout in the upper stories of a mixed use building, so you do not enter the hotel directly from the street. You may also need to carry your bags up the stairs to your room. After 8 pm, the street entrance is closed, but someone is at the hotel desk who can let you inside. However, after 11 pm, you need to use the key to open the door. If you are planning on being out late, this might make this hotel less convenient.

Good location.
Alberto Centrale was ideally situated, as its name suggests, just a couple of minutes from Piazza Maggiore. The room was small and a little care worn and the window probably looked out onto a small internal courtyard although we couldn’t see anything (even the weather) because the area was filled by scaffolding. The buffet breakfast was reasonable with a good choice. Overall Alberto Centrale was about what we expected, and we were content, but would have felt a little claustrophobic if we had stayed longer than our 2 nights.

Great location! But avoid room 24!
The location is ideal, easy walking to Piazza Maggiore and great bars and restaurants. The room had no natural light, as window was blocked with scaffolding, and work lights were left on all the time. Air conditioning wasn’t working and couldn’t have window open due to noise from work or generator. Some Reception staff were friendly. When we paid the City Tax and were leaving, it was interesting that we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Nice enough room, though ours had no view, just a wall of the building next door. Great breakfast. Really great. Sad i missed it our first morning there. Staff was nice, and we had no complaints.

Great hotel, great location.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Georgia, at the front desk, was very helpful and pleasant! We had a small problem locating the hotel and drove through the permit only drive area, one block past the hotel so we will probably be getting a ticket for that error. The street the hotel is on is one way so you have to access it without driving into the permit only area. The parking for the hotel is a public lot right behind the hotel and you have to wait until someone leaves in order to park. You need to get a parking permit sticker everyday with the current date so not to be towed. The hotel is a great location to walk to everything. The breakfast was extensive and had everything. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Good central hotel
Staff very friendly Hotel is on third floor but has a lift. Our room was very comfortable over looking rooftops and the leaning towers. Minutes walk from sights. Breakfast was continental but was more than enough. All the staff especially Marcella on reception and the restaurant staff were helpful.
