"Our whole group (ages 5-61) enjoyed being at BBI Lake Effect Lodge. Beautiful, spacious, log home in a stunning location. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand and water along the sand bar. Great fishing off the dock. Nice lakeside fire pit and plenty of seating available. 100% recommend."

"I have traveled all over the world and nowhere rivals the viewnfeom The Cottage at Snow Beach. It is truly spectacular. To have front door access to your own private beach in a cove of only a few other houses on a.rural island is magical. The water changes every day. The colors are glorious. "The hotel is outdated but it is clean and well-maintained. The staff members are warm and accommodating, especially Tina at the front desk. The breakfast buffet has adequate options which are delicious (waffles, omelets, sausages. etc.). The hotel is close to the Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry and a shuttle bus takes you there for free. I would recommend staying at this hotel. "
