« We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was extremely clean. We saw bunnies from the deck. Our only concern was the quality of bed linens which was not good. The sheets were rough and scratchy and there was no top sheet. We only had the comforter to cover up with and it was too hot. We did try to reach the owner to request different linens but they did not return our calls or emails. If the linens had not been a issue we would give this house a 5 star rating in all areas. »

« We had a very quiet, peaceful two nights at River Retreat. Thoroughly labeled kitchen (and beyond) was well stocked for morning coffees on the beautiful deck overlooking the backyard and river. The beds were comfortable (a rarity) and the space was perfect for four adults. We enjoyed the gentle freeze and sound of the river, so close to town yet private and quiet. Dellene was easy to communicate with and very responsive to our needs. »

« This is THE place to stay for any activity and especially for Equestrian Events. Lynn was great and helped us with local places to eat and check out between events. There is a fantastic dog park within minutes of the home. Its was very calm, quiet, and relaxing. The pool, hot tub, and Grill were very welcoming after a day out!! « This home is so unique and has tons of charm. It’s easy to find and is a short drive to Greenville, Lake Lure & Asheville which allowed us to do all kinds of activities on our trip. The home is well appointed for everything we needed. Beds were comfy too which is a bonus! The owner, Ian, was so kind and even invited our kids to help feed the baby goats on property! « Loved the set up. Definitely a great place if you have a dog to let them run around. Beautiful water-just hate we didn't have time to put the kayaks in. Would recommend and stay here again. Side Note: The workers at local stores were all very friendly and helpful. I'm from the south but felt like I received "true" southern hospitality everywhere we went. :) »

« This was our second stay at this home, though last time we were on the other side of the duplex. It is comfortable and had everything we needed for a visit with our son's family nearby. Good communication with the owner re: an issue with the washer which we did not need anyway but it was nice of him to let us know. An awning or some sort of covered entrance over the front door would be nice - we got soaked when a storm came through while we were unloading. It also needs more than one mirror so...
