NOTE: there are approximately 50 stairs to the seawall where there is sand you can lounge on. You will need to put a step ladder down to get to the lower beach level. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all. Location was wonderful over looking Lake Huron and very conveniently located to Grand Bend, Baysville and Goderich. ##### Dianne D. Séjour de 7 nuits en juin 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Leah N. 13 sept. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Nice cottage with a great location and super quiet We chose this cottage because it was right on Lake Huron. There were a few deceptive things in the listing. When we were there, it was extremely hot and humid and I assumed it had central air conditioning, but it didn’t. It just had two wall units one in an upstairs bedroom and one in the main great room. The bedroom one worked fantastic for that room. The living room one did not keep up. The first night it was 82 degrees inside - too hot to sleep, even in the basement. We did send a note to the managers and they brought us a new fan the next morning which helped immensely in the living room. The other main issue was how to get down to the lake. There were staircases down to the water, which was fine. However, when you got to water, there was over a 6 foot drop which required carrying a stepladder down the last flight of stairs and setting it over the break wall into the lake and climbing down. we were able to do it, but it would be very difficult/impossible for some people. We had to go out about 50 feet before we found a sandy bottom. Make sure to take water shoes. We had to wait 30 minutes to get in when we arrived because the cleaning wasn’t done. It was Labor Day so very busy for them. The managers were great to work with and overall we enjoyed our stay but just wish the listing was more accurate. ##### Leah N. We enjoyed our stay a lot we visited the Grand Bend area which was only a 10 min drive from the cottage. Overall it was an amazing stay. ##### ELHAM E.
