I could tell almost instantly this place wasn't really clean. We checked in at night and lighting is poor/minimal, so I couldn't tell the depth until the morning. Dust, dirt, crumbs in the corners, along the baseboards, underneath living room furniture and next to nights stands in bedrooms, windows were filthy with dust, cobwebs in corners and overhead lights. Mildew and orange residue on shower curtains. No one had really cleaned this house in a LONG time. Furniture outside was filthy - table covered in old pollen, dirt. Chairs/couch hadn't been vacuumed or blown. I looked for vacuum or other cleaning supplies so I could clean - but there are none. The front right burner on stove didn't work - found that out while cooking. In both bathrooms we found that the lock on the bathtub drain didn't work and there were no stoppers, so my 2 year old couldn't take a bath. I contacted Vacasa within the first few hours of us waking up the 1st day. They continued to tell us someone would contact us, and they may be able to send out cleaners. I continued to follow up throughout the day and kept getting the same message - someone will be in touch, but NO ONE EVER WAS. Lastly, the house is renovated - but this is a lipstick on a pig situation. You cant tell from the pictures, but its obvious when you arrive. We ended up leaving a day early due to the lack of contact and issues. Refund warranted! ##### ashley s. Séjour de 2 nuits en novembre 2023 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Sharyn O. 20 mars 2024 #### Lovely house but VACASA customer service failed We really wanted to give this house a good review but due to lack of promised support from VACASA, we realized the only way another guest wont have similar issues is to post on a review unfortunately. Directions are too vague. Google maps shows two Anderson Roads and pins another house as our destination. Unpaved road looks like it ends. We first went down the wrong Anderson Road and stopped when we saw Private Property No Trespassing signs. Called customer service and she said to keep going and disregard signs. Knowing rural Georgia homeowners carry shot guns, we didn't listen. We returned to bottom of mountain, a home owner told us follow up to Cherry Lake again. When we still couldn't find it off Anderson Rd, called customer service 3rd time and realized they only read the same information and told us we were wrong because the map shows where the house is. I have photos of the route and map that shows the right way to go. He submitted an urgent ticket for a local person to contact us and guaranteed we would receive a call within 30 minutes. After sitting on the road for 45 minutes, my husband is disabled, I got out of the car and started hiking through people's driveways and finally found the house. We didn't get a call from the local manager until the day before we checked out. She was doing a courtesy call and said she was not working that day and our ticket must have been sent to the wrong person but she was glad we found the house.
