Beds were comfortable and we also enjoyed the smart TVs in the living room and bedrooms and cozy fireplace. Also- fantastic location about 12 min from dt Blue Ridge and about 20-30 min from multiple wineries. This was a great weekend getaway that our furry friend could come along for. We did notice some animal hair and dust in the cabin- it could use a deep clean. Dec 16, 2023 #### Beautiful Views The cabin was cute, cozy and the views from the back porch are amazing. The decor is tasteful and cute. There is nearly everything you need as far as pans, plates, utensils and blender etc. Just bring your food. The hot tub was hot and clean. We had fun upstairs playing pool while watching Christmas movies. Now for the cons. The gas fireplace was broken and the power on the mountain went out for several hours while it was 8° outside. Michelle at Vacasa got the gas company out to look at the fireplace. They said it has looks to have been broken for a while and we were not told about this when we rented. We had to go to town to stay warm until the power came back on. Later we discovered a small gas wall heater mostly hidden by a child gate. It would've been nice if Vacasa would have told us about this! The vent in the bathroom is VERY loud and does not move any air. The sheets are thin and scratchy, I wish I'd brought my own. Finally the cleaning crew needs to do a better job. The dish drying mat is stained and dirty looking while there is dried hair and dirt along the tub and floor, especially built up in the corners from lack of a good cleaning. The best part is the Copper Head Rattlesnake protecting the cabin its living under the front steps, our puppy nearly got struck in her face when coming home walking up the stairs and ran into it again while lighting a fire in the fire pit, area needs to be raked,, swept, pressure cleaned. Jul 5, 2023 #### Incredible views; bring an AWD vehicle You can't beat the privacy and views in the Sky High View Cabin. We loved sitting on the screened porch and watching the sunset. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, coffee machine & Keurig, crock pot and blender. We cooked dinner here every night with no issues. Overall, a great place to stay, but I had to subtract one star because I found it lacking in cleanliness - pet hair all over the furniture / floors and lots of spiderwebs. The biggest piece of advice we can offer to future guests is to bring an AWD / SUV. The air filter in the living room was covered in dust, many of the ceiling lights flickered during our stay and the dimmer switches are backwards (up is low light versus down is high light), there are several spots on the floor with water damage (in the kitchen and bathroom), the bath mats need to be replaced, there were no rugs on the floor (like the pictures advertised), the towels are super scratchy and very harsh on the skin, there were no instructions for how to use the hot tub or the fire place (thank goodness for YouTube videos to teach us) and lastly / most importantly the bathtub is SUPER slippery and dangerous. There needs to be a liner placed in the bottom to avoid people becoming injured. Overall, this visit was just OK and a bit over priced for the quality of the property. ##### Stacia L. Jan 5, 2023 #### Just OK This was our second time staying at this cabin, and our visit was not as great as the first time. Upon arrival, the pilot light in the fireplace was out. I contacted Vacasa and had someone reach out right away (shout out to Abbey, amazing customer service!!). It was a bit of a hassle to remove all gas logs from the fireplace to manually light the pilot light. On the first night of our stay, a bear came by the property and knocked our trash box down the hill. We contacted Vacasa to report the incident the next morning and we’re told maintenance would be out to help that day. Due to the busy season, maintenance was not able to come out. We reached out and the next day, and we’re told they were coming out. Maintenance arrived after sunset and was not able to pull the heavy box from the hill. We were not able to take our trash out anywhere for the 3 day stay, so it stacked up in the kitchen. The cabin itself needs a little TLC. The lamp in the livingroom is broken, many of the lights flickered during our stay, the hand soaps need to be replaced, not filled up, and the bath mats need to be replaced. Extra towels for hot tub use would be ideal, to limit laundry. Overal, this visit was just OK. ##### Robyn M. Jan 21, 2023 #### Perfect Cabin Getaway This place had everything we were looking for. Amazing view, hot tub out on the porch, firepit, and cozy cabin feel. It was also in a great location just a short drive to downtown Blue Ridge and lots of great hiking. Vacasa was responsive to our questions and needs. ##### Alex B. Just 100% amazing. It was clean and had everything I needed! Having a hot tub on the porch with Mountain View’s was just phenomenal! Vacasa took care of me and checked up on us during our stay. I LOVED that they had a Christmas tree that we could hook up. Was the perfect size cabin for 3 adults and one toddler. Bottom tv was a smart tv. Fireplace worked perfectly, easy to find. The drive up- I highly recommend a 4x4\. Will come back. (Recommendations to owner: get some kids plates! \*wink\*. And the upstairs tv was not a smart tv - that would of been nice). We loved sitting in the hot tub looking over the mountains, playing pool, and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit!
