The 3 Explorers Motel is well located and convenient to visit Katoomba. We had only a small issue with the cabinets in the 2nd bedroom - they were not clean and had things from previous customers.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We have a self-serve guest amenities area, where bowls, plates, cutlery and other items like extra milk, coffee, tissues etc. are available 24/7. Just ask for the door code.

V comfy, spacious & clean room. Location is quiet & a short walk from Echo Point & the Three Sisters, with a bus stop only 1 min away which takes you right into Katoomba town shops & the train station. Excellent restaurants & cafes on the main street in Katoomba with a wide variety of food.

One of the best motels if you want to walk around the Echo point area. The room was tidy & clean, and the check-in was so simple & convenient. Even before 2pm, there was TXT saying 'you can check-in now'

I cannot rate the 3 explorers motel highly enough. It was immaculately clean. Bed linen was crisp and white and towels were lively and fluffy. It had everything you could need including, microwave, tea and coffee plus milk and sugar. An ironing board and a hair dryer plus toiletries and shower caps. You can walk to the Three sisters and Echo point and enjoy the walking trails through the blue mountains. Thank you 3 Explorers motel for a wonderful stay.

Very basic. Non attended checkin. Intercom wasn’t answered when tried. Stay was ok but it is very, very basic with no breakfast options.

Fabulous place. The no-contact checkin was a great idea, very smoothly done. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was brilliant, you can leave your car at the motel and just walk to the hiking tracks. Already planning my next stay!

Convenient to walk to Echo Point instead of $12 per hour street parking. More than adequate accommodation, very clean. Relying on mobile phone contact to check in is not ideal when travelling, but worked out ok.

This would be about the 5th or 6th time we've stayed at the 3 Explorers and we continue to be impressed by it. This time we stayed in one of the ground floor rooms (33) and found it up to expectation.

My wife and I arrived at 6pm last night. She became quite Ill just prior. As I assisted her to the room we opened the door. Extremely unpleasant and overwhelming smell and looks. What we saw online was certainly not what we came into. Those photos are so old and not truthful. The sills on the wall had so much built up dust. The wardrobe had built up rust. The bathroom windows sill and waste basket were filthy. The lounge was old and soiled. If my wife wasn’t so sick we would have left.

Checkin was easy and quick. Onsite parking was a bonus and walking distance to the 3 sisters. Apartment had heating and extra bedding. Would definitely stay again

Great location 2 mins drive to Three Sisters and close to town. I had Spa room with queen bed. It is a cosy small room and the size is just perfect for one person. However, the room feels old. The room entrance is tucked behind the building with two extra doors inside the room. The two extra doors are locked inside room which makes the room a bit peculiar. Carpets in the room is old and has stains. There is no sink in the room and no fan in the bathroom. After having a spa, the entire bathroom floor plus toilet seat are wet. The window in the bathroom is not very clean. I didn't feel like to use my hand to open it wider to let the moisture out. The bottom outside bathroom sink needs good clean as it is dirty all the way down which is not pleasant to see when having a bath. For nearly $160 a night as last mins booking, I think this room needs a little renovation to match with the price.

Easy access to the main street where to shop and eat.... Convenient parking space right at the front of the door, shower is good... However the aircondition struggled to give warmth in the room at 0c but the bed with the blanket heater was very satisfying and cozy to have a good sleep..

Being June in the Blue Mountains, it was cold outside but the heater was most efficient so it was lovely and warm in the room which was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay of two nights. Very close to Echo Point.
