Lovely comfortable hotel.

Posted 4-Dec-2015
Pros: Comfortable furnishings and bed! Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Situation within walking distance.
Location: The hotel is situated very nicely, within walking distance of the town centre, we also walked to the look out for the three sisters and scenic world.
A lovely two night stay at this very comfortable and accommodating hotel. The photos are very true to how the hotel actually is. We had music both nights we were there. We also had a meal which was very nice and plenty of it, the free breakfast was very nice.

Good breakfast

Posted 23-Nov-2015
This hotel is older and a bit worn, but couched as Victorian like most in the area. Close to The Gingerbread House and Echo Point. The full, hot English (or other) breakfast, cooked to order most days, and live music are entirely unique and redeeming. Family friendly too, but realize sound travels easily. If you're not looking for anything too fancy, give Hotel Blue a try.

1920s charm

Posted 4-Oct-2015 on Wotif
Character filled hotel close to main town centre. Excellent live small blues, folk and jazz acts many nights in the parlour. Pool table, chess and selection of games for kids or adults. Being tidied up but retaining original flavour of the period. Easy after hours access. Cooked breakfast was inlcuded. Room slightly cramped but comfortable beds. Pool and spa closed at this time. Will def stay again.

outdated and in need of TLC

Posted 30-Sep-2015 on Wotif
Pros: Hard to say, probably imagining hat it was like in the 30's
Cons: The décor, cleaning the carpets and inproving the overall look of the guesthouse
Location: great location loved the area, lots of lovely things to do and see
we enjoyed our stay although we are still looking for the four stars it rates. Our room was pokey and noisy and the carpet in desperate need of cleaning. The staff were friendly and obliging. If I had the money it would be a great pleasure to return this gem back to its former art deco glory

Good location, close to transport and town

Posted 25-Sep-2015
Pros: Location, history and staff
Cons: Room facilities were very tired and limited.
Location: Very easy to access local transport, The Three Sisters, restaurants and town aspects.
Great location, but our room was quite compact. Breakfast was lovely; breakfast and reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
