From skiing and snow sports to mountain biking and zip-line tours, there are exciting activities throughout the year at this Ontario mountain resort.

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is a year-round hub of outdoor pursuits and adventures in the Niagara Escarpment. Visit in winter for the ski runs and snow-based activities. In the summer, hike through the green landscape and take part in numerous mountain sports.

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is one of Ontario’s largest and most popular mountain resorts, situated close to the southern shores of Lake Huron.

Find more than 40 ski trails with runs that are suitable for all levels of skiers. If you are a novice, sign up for lessons at the Blue Mountain Snow School. Off the slopes, activities range from snowshoeing and ice skating to caving, tobogganing and snowmobile tours. Take the children to Burton Riglet Park where they can learn how to snowboard. At the Kids’ Camp they can join in skiing and non-skiing programs.

There are still lots of reasons to visit the ski resort after the snow has melted. Take a ride in a cable car and soar above the treetops on a zip-line course. Travel through the mountainous landscape on a bike or Segway tour and test your agility on a rope course. Enjoy family-friendly activities such as the mountain roller coaster, a climbing wall and an 18-hole putting course.

No matter what time of year you visit, take advantage of the recreational and entertainment options at the Blue Mountain Village. There are restaurants, fast-food joints, pubs, cocktail bars and nightclubs. Browse the shops for art, fashion accessories, sporting apparel and much more.

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is about a 15-minute drive from Collingwood and a 2-hour drive north of Toronto. A regular bus service connects the resort with downtown Collingwood and a free shuttle bus runs through the resort. From May to September its route includes a private beach.

Blue Mountain Ski Resort is open daily, including public holidays. The ski season runs from November to April, depending on snowfall. Visit the resort’s official website for more information on opening times, activity prices, equipment rental and lodging.

prepare to empty your pocket for ski lift tickets. You can ski cheaper in Switzerland - e.g. Zermatt - compared to this place (and they're not the cheapest in the world)

Be wary during peak times. Over 2 hour wait to obtain ski rentals and lift pass. Very expensive $$$, not really good value unless you are avid skier that can do it all day long. Most people get tired after a few hours, so you will not get your money worth. The village is nice though, many food and shipping options to explore.
