The location is ideal for hikers, skiers, anglers and those seeking a peaceful mountain getaway. Walk to shopping and dining on Main Street or drive 10 minutes or less to several attractions such as Appalachian Ski Mountain, Moses Cone Manor House, Tweetsie Railroad, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, ziplining and much more. It was within walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock as advertised. We knew that there was no local television channels available; however, we were not able to sign on to any of our streaming services. While we didn't have to have television service, it would have been nice in the evening. We did have an issue with the drainage of the bathtub, which was reported to the hosts. A small comment was there were not any kitchen towels available. Communication with the hosts was easy and we did get a response right away, which was appreciated. ##### Ellis N. However, while checking in, I noticed plungers in both bathrooms, right beside the toilets.....never a good sign but when I ended up sick with an intestinal virus, it was a nightmare. One toilet became clogged almost immediately and the sink I needed badly, would not drain. Good thing was that Tim, the host responded quickly and had a handy man to help in 20 minutes!!!
