Convenient to airport and expressway

Pros: Frequent shuttle buses to airport and Mall of America. Outback Steakhouse connected to hotel, providing room service. Nice pool and exercise room.
Good hotel for the price, very clean and comfortable. Had king room with micro and fridge. Comfortable bed. Good selection for breakfast and staff at front desk were very welcoming.

We were missing a couple of items in our room, so I went to the desk and requested that they give them to me so I could take them to my room. initially, they said they would have them sent up. But then, an employee said that he would come at that time. He gave me the items, which saved both the hotel and myself some badly needed time.

Pros: Location, staff
The Comfort Inn is very convenient to the train to attend sporting events like baseball and football. Not sure about the hockey arena. It is also very close to the Mall of America, IKEA, and other shopping. The hotel is clean, the staff very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

There was jelly and other food on the wall and door in the bathroom. In the morning the houseeker tried to check out room around 8 am. She knocked (waking us up) and then used her key to try and enter. Thank goodness we had the bar over the lock so she couldn't get in. She appeared to be just checking rooms as she was cleaning at the end of the hall. Then when we went to breakfast someone opened and entered our room through the adjoining door. They didn't lock it or close it tight when the left ( we are assuming housekeeping) again still cleaning at the other end of the hall.

Pros: Location, breakfast, Outback Steakhouse attached
Location: Mall of America and plenty of shops
but overall, the hotel was just fine! Reported a few things like a broken hair dryer and water backing up in the tub, and they fixed it right away.

Run down and bug infested

Pros: Location was perfect for shopping. Shuttle to the local areas was timely.
Cons: Updating and repairs are seriously needed. Staff that are attentive to needs.
Location: Perfect location for shopping at MOA and a ten minute drive to other malls and shopping centers.
After reading previous reviews I was very dissappointed. This is not our usual hotel for our annual school shopping trip. The check in process was smooth until the key didn't work the second day. Breakfast was sufficient except for the attendant sleeping in the corner. The pool area was poorly lit with caution tape on one ladder and a pool light sitting on the edge of the pool connected to the cord in the pool. Hallways are poorly lit. Ice machine was out of order for the two days I was there. The room itself had a very strange odor and damp carpet. The heater in the room when put on warm smelt like something was burning and only got worse. When we packed up to leave we untucked the sheets at the end of the beds to look for items that may have been missed. Instead bugs fell out. When brought it to the attention of staff at check out, he wrote down the room number and showed no signs of concern. He offered to refund part of our stay but then said he couldn't because the room was not book through the hotel. Very dissappointed in this hotel! You get what you pay for I guess. Spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else.
