Weekend Getaway!

Very cute little house, with awesome owners. Only suggestion is to put a small fire pit in front of the house in the gravy area off porch. Otherwise, it was a very nice place!

Adequate accommodations. The freezer in the kitchen didn't work so owner put a freezer in the garage. Bad thing is the garage is detached so we had to go to the garage for frozen food and ice. There was a wasp nest in the porch light and my son-in-law got stung twice, on the lip and shoulder. If you run the microwave and coffee maker at the same time, a breaker kicked.

No access to bonfire pit

Access was cut off at the bottom floor balcony, door to basement was locked and could not get access to the bonfire pit. Unless you are into sliding down steep hills with ivy. The cottage itself is quaint and cozy. Good housekeeping.

Cozy home in Bloomington, IN

We really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO! Dennis and Michelle were awesome hosts. Home was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Had everything we needed for the weekend. We’ll be back!

-Very comfortable and clean cabin. - Peaceful back deck. - it is NOT a lakefront property. - Two queen beds were comfortable. - Very close to the road. People do go fast on it. - Appliances were very nice with the exception of the dishwasher. It was in terrible condition.

Not steps away from the water and no steps to fire pit

Only access to the lake is via the road. The lake is .7 miles away so we suggest the owner updates the listing to note such as it is not “just steps away”. The only way down to the fire pit is a very steep hill at the back of the cabin so you have to go out the front door and walk around it to get down to it. The surrounding area was not flat so a bit dangerous to sit in chairs. Hill was too steep to hike. Cabin was nice and clean and owner was very responsive. A hot tub would had been awesome, but we knew upon booking there was none.

Pictures don’t do it justice

Pleasantly surprised how nice, clean and cozy. Everything you need, from pans to tin foil and coffee and filters provided. Modern kitchen. Good water pressure in bathrooms. Beds are firm and comfortable. Have to go out back and down a hill for firewood so not easy if older or disabled. Property is loaded with trees, so gorgeous. Overall we loved our stay.

Quiet and relaxing getaway

Preston Hollow was quaint and comfortable. It was well stocked for all our needs. We enjoyed the back deck overlooking the woods and a walk down the road to see the lake. It met our needs for a weekend getaway near Bloomington.

Beautiful, quiet, perfect home

The house is right off a quiet road with the property behind it. The road it is on was perfect for morning runs. We made it down to the creek which is one of the most magical places I’ve seen. Location is ideal, about 10-20 minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. Communication was great. The house had everything we needed and the kids loved it. We cannot wait to book again!

A time in the woods

So relaxed. A quiet neighborhood with minimal street noise and spaced homes makes you feel removed from regular life and appreciating the woods and that nature call. The house was very clean and the bed were extremely comfortable (a big plus after hiking). A good location for heading into Bloomington for some fine dining. A lovely stay. Thank you.

Get away

This was an amazing stay and we got to relax and be outside by the fire pit wich was so nice.It had everything one would need for a getaway and next time it’ll be more then just one night🥰
