Was able to secure this property for IU Parent's Weekend and it did not disappoint! Beautiful, secluded setting, but still a super easy drive to campus and surrounding areas. Everything was as advertised. Comfortable bed and large walk in shower in Master bath. Apartment had all the amenities we needed, very clean and well appointed. While our stay wasn't long enough to use, having a full sized washer/dryer was a plus, along with the additional toilet & vanity. Check in was easy and Bill was a great host who was very accessible. Definitely will be added to our go to stay when in Bloomington!

If you are looking for something a little different and for a quiet peaceful place to stay, this is it! I will be staying here again for sure. Stayed here while moving my daughter back to IU. It is convenient to get to and from IU, but away from all the craziness going on in town, and away from the price gauging! The property is gorgeous, and it is so quiet, you do feel like you are on a retreat. The owner allows you to enjoy his property and even fish in his pond. We caught 4 fish in the short time we were there. He even added an extra touch by leaving bait for us! Owner lives on site, but we never saw him, and he was super with communication and help. The place was very clean and it's simple, just a clean nice quiet place to rest. There on no futons, it's a large sectional, that I would say you could have 2 kids, 2 teenagers for sure fit to sleep. The bed in the actual bedroom is very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. It is an apartment over a detached garage, but it's lovely, so be open to it. Loved it. My college age daughters loved the fishing and just sitting and looking at the pond.

Great getaway - fishing pond near Bloomington

We had a great stay at Bill’s guest house for our family of four. We enjoyed the fishing (and swimming) -the pond is well stocked. Bill is a great host; he communicated proactively and easily. He is very generous - had bait in the fridge, offered we use his fishing poles s well as plenty of wood for the fire pit. The night before our check in, Indiana had massive storms which left the place without power and Bill went above and beyond to help us :)The guest house in near the main house, but it still felt like a private escape to the pond and fire pit. The location is great - 15 minutes to anything in Bloomington. Highlights were the drive in movies one night (bring a radio!), hiking at Leonard Springs and Upland brewery. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed discovering the area and spending hours fishing!

The place was beautiful, had the necessary supplies to be comfortable , had a paper outlining things to do around the area, and the bed was super comfortable. The owner was very down to earth and understanding ; it felt like we were on our own time and not rushed on the owners time.

Great Bloomington Night!

We stayed one night after an incredible win by IU Football!! As an IU alum, we wanted to stay the night off campus and this was perfect for us and one of our adult kids! Beautiful location and the host/owner is amazing to communicate with. We highly recommend staying here for a close drive into campus.

We loved this cute, country spacious apartment. It was perfect for what we needed. We had privacy and could come and go even though it was on a property with the owner’s home. The drive through the woods to get there was unique and beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful. The view of the pond and country side was just what we needed. It was close enough to town that we didn’t have to be in the car forever but just far enough outside we didn’t have to deal with traffic and city noises. Bill communicated effectively and even reached out to make sure I got his message on Vrbo after I booked when I didn’t respond. After our stay he checked in to make sure everything went well and we didn’t have any issues. Instructions on how to get to the property, how to get in and out of the apartment were easy and precise. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend. .

We were looking for a place to watch the 2024 Total Eclipse and this place delivered. The host was accommodating to us arriving late and remaining on the property past our checkout time so we could watch the eclipse. It ended up being perfect weather and viewing conditions. If there was ever another eclipse in Bloomington, this would be a great host to stay with.
