Completely met our expectations

We had a short stay for a Virginia Tech game and the hotel pleasantly met our expectations. The staff was extremely friendly at check in and check out. Our room was clean, smelled pleasant, (e.g., no smell of smoke in our non-smoking room), and the bed was comfortable. The only issue during our stay was that the coffee maker leaked all over the table when brewing. We reported it at check out and the person at the desk was very kind, apologized and said they would replace it.

Great hotel for the price

The rooms are clean, have a refrigerator and microwave. There is a small but ample fitness center.

Smell not clean

Although it was close to the campus!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Get out a vacuum cleaner and some bleach. Add a topper to the outdated mattress. Wash the linens!
Location: VA Tech and football.
Although it was close to the campus, that was all it had going for it. The price of the room at $200 including tax did not justify the dirtiness of the room (dust everywhere), outdated bed and pillows (I was thinking bedbugs), bathroom not clean. Very disappointed in the whole environment. I realize there are outdated hotels, but in all our travels throughout this country and other countries, the rooms were at least clean. I don't usually complain on a website, but this one deserved it.

Not clean

Pros: access to town front staff ease of booking price reasonable compared to other hotels in area
Cons: the room was not clean debris on floor by bed (beer bottle tops and Kleenex) used Kleenex in drawer of nightstand

Great Room at an Excellent Price

Pros: The room was large, comfortable and sparkling clean.
Cons: Nothing. Excellent all around experience. Very convenient location, close to VATECH and major highways. Staff was very courteous. The hotel was very quiet at night.
Location: I don't know about things to do; this was a quick business trip.

Poor internet service

Very disappointed about the internet overall l didn't enjoy because l couldn't do my homework as l plan .As a result of network.

Worn and dated

Friendly staff but worn out facility. Wifi did not work. Chairs so dirty at breakfast, I didn't want to sit on them.

Pros: The guys at the front desk were friendly and accommodating, especially when I had an issue with the room
Cons: Booked a nonsmoking room and when I got there it absolutely reeked of cigarettes. Tried to call the front desk and the room phone didn't work. I was able to get moved to a new room which honestly smelled like cat urine in the closet, but I felt bad complaining about a second room so didn't bother
