Convenient To Tech

Staff was friendly and went out of their way. Parking is ample and the room was clean.

There was a dirty washrag hanging in the shower of my room and barely any toilet paper on the roll. Had to go to main office to get more

Super nice staff, hotel needs a face lift.

The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful. However, the washer dryers were broken, the beds are really too tiny to share. More like a full, not a queen. We were at a two day track meet and needed to do uniforms. Got back to hotel at 9:00 pm and had to be back at the track at 8:30 am. Made for a stressful morning, trying to go to a laundromat at 7:30 am when it opened and get back to the track on time.

Great for the price and good breakfast!

In all, this was a nice hotel. The room was a good size. It had a microwave and mini fridge and that was great! The shower was extremely clean and looked recently updated. I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive due to reading other reviews about bed bugs and whatnot. I checked the bed thoroughly and it was clean. The sheets were clean as well. Only down sides- there were a couple of cobwebs in the ceiling corners and behind the bedside tables. The walls are also pretty thin- the family behind us was constantly screaming at their kids. The breakfast was pretty good too! They had a waffle maker and biscuits and gravy! Only with they would have had some fresh fruit.

Worst stay ever!

First room 222 had a breeze so cold that the room would not get warm even with the temp set as high as it would go. Informed front desk. I was reassigned to room 219 that wasn't even clean. The beds were not made so i didnt go any further than the door. I was then reassigned to room 217. It was a warm room. Beds were made. My only mistake was that i did not inspect the entire room. I assumed that it was clean because the beds were made. After getting settled in, i went to the sink to find toothpaste in the basin. I checked the bathroom and the tub was filthy. Called the front desk. Clerk came and cleaned the sink and tub. She did not wipe down the toilet. Being that the sink and tub were dirty, i was doubtful that the toilet was clean. After careful thought, i began wondering if the beds were truly clean. I did not rest well. However, i can say that the presentation of the continental breakfast was appealing. But, the nozzle of the waffle mix machine was not attached properly. When i pressed the lever to dispense the waffle mix, the nozzle came off and the mix began spilling onto the counter. Needless to say, i was very unhappy with my stay at the days inn. I will not recommend this facility to anyone. I doubt if i consider staying at another days inn.

Convenient to VT campus but not in great condition

Pros: Proximity to Blacksburg and VT
This was my second stay at the Days Inn. The rooms are OK, but dated, and they all tend to smell like smoke, even the non-smoking areas. This time, my room was not very clean when I arrived- there were sticky drink rings all over both nightstands, and a dirty washcloth from the previous occupant was left hanging on the shower rod. The most disappointing aspect of my stay was the large gang of migrant workers who were allowed to drink, play loud music, and yell at each other in the parking lot behind the hotel (directly in front of my room) with no intervention by management. This went on well past midnight and frankly I was shocked that the hotel staff did nothing about it. I doubt I will stay at this hotel again unless it is literally the only place with availability on the dates I need to travel to Blacksburg.

The stay was nice except on our second night there were some unruly people who where screaming and and running around at 4 am

One Saturday Night

We ended up at this Days End Motel because ALL of the upperscale Blacksburg hotels were booked. This motel is just what you would expect from an older, outside access motel. Overdue for updating and remodeling. However, I do want to complement the staff for their fine service. The front desk was very friendly and the man hosting the breakfast area went out of his way to be helpful. Well done guys.
