I read the reviews before I booked so I wasn't surprised. Yes the hotel is run down and could use some serious updating. The beds are old, they were water marks on the ceiling. The lighting isn't good. The furniture is old. The breakfast is minimal and not good at that. That said, the place was within walking distance of the airport and was quiet and the staff was polite and efficient. I thought it was priced accordingly. This is a clear case of you get what you pay for. I slept fine and felt safe.

The employees need more training in customer service. The front desk person did not have the attitude of helping to get my request granted (finding a phone charger to borrow) they only answered no and didnt offer any other potential solution. Housekeeping passed the buck to the front desk! Also, they were Very abrupt about keeping the stub for checked bags insinuating that we couldnt get our bags back if we didnt have the ticket.
