Bitterfeld Vacation Packages

Hotel is not air-conditioned. Unfortunately my stay coincided with a heat wave. I was able to move to a room on the cooler side of the building. Leaving the window open was precluded by street noise.

Clean and modern. The uncarpeted floor meant you can hear all the luggages and housekeeping equipment being pulled and push outside your room, it’s noisy.

Our double room was fantastic, with its own mini kitchen, a great bathroom, a sofa in front of the bed in case you wanted to watch TV, a fridge and lots of space. There was very little noise outside and we slept really well. Quite honestly, it was the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. Staff in reception were very polite, friendly, helpful and spoke great English. The small reception area is also a very pleasant place to enjoy a late-night drink, as they serve alcohol from a small bar. Highly recommended if you stay in Leipzig.

Overall, the hotel was nice, amenities seemed of good quality and new. When checking in there was a fairly long line and we had to wait about 10 - 15 minutes to check in which was a new experience for us in a four-star-hotel. Unfortunately, we had a room that was located towards the street so opening the window was impossible due to noise. However, the room was extremely hot and stuffy. Turning on the AC meant that the air stream flow moved the curtains which then made a fairly loud and arrhythmic clicking noise which made sleeping really difficult. We told that info to the staff the next morning and the nice and polite lady told us that it was a construction error in every room that the AC air stream flow made the curtains move and thus caused the clicking noises. She suggested to turn the AC air stream flow down but then it would've been impossible to sleep because the room was so stuffy. The breakfast was nice, we'd say average. We missed some bacon ;) but there were breakfast sausages and meatballs which excused the absence of bacon ;) The breakfast room was unusually full and when we later went upstairs, we again saw a long line of people waiting who actually seemed to have to wait for the other hotel guests to finish their breakfast to make room for the new hotel guests. We stayed one night on a weekend and there were Christmas markets plus the Christmas oratorium concert so it might have been unusually full, too. For the overall experience, the price was too high.
