Grange Guest House is a very nice B&B and Paulette is an excellent hostess. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is cooked or continental, your choice. She even packed me a breakfast when I had a very early flight! It's close to the train station and the center of Bishop's Stortford. I needed a place to relax between a week in England and a tour of Ireland. This cute little town was perfect for me - some interesting shops and restaurants, good people-watching, and 1 train stop from Stansted Airport. I'll be back when I use Stansted again.
We loved this quirky old house, full of character and very comfy. We received a friendly welcome, and the landlady was very helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfasts were excellent. The house is very conveniently placed for local shops, restaurants, and train station

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Good location.
Was a nice overnight stay. Close to rail station and to several shops and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer to explorer the area.
Good: Location (for a night before early Stansted flight) is excellent and host provided a bag of biscuits which was acceptable.
Very bad: The curtain is see-through so it is impossible to achieve sufficient darkness for comfortable sleep for light sleepers. I had to turn my back on the bright (curtain) side of the room, therefore slept with one side of my face on the pillow. My right cheek which was in contact with the pillow is now full of bed bug bites. Also, the fire alarm went off briefly around 1.30am for no apparent reason, disrupting what was already a short and light sleep.
This guest house is pleasant in a nice road and the rooms are well equipped.
However the morning that I left I was really un impressed with the landlady’s mannerisms.I did request a late checkout at midday.
Just before midday I was on the phone to my friend who is helping me organise my fathers funeral.
I was told I had to leave NOW and not in 10 minutes time,I found this unnecessary and rude.
Decent enough B&B very local to Bishops Stortford town centre and railway station. The owner could not be more pleasant and helpful and a good breakfast provided.
Convenient guest house with friendly staff. I had a climb up two flights of stairs to my room and the view was limited. But the room and bed were comfortable. Paulette was very accommodating with my food allergies at breakfast
The location is convenient for the train station and walking into the town centre. Grange Road is not very well lit at night. I recommend carrying a torch/flashlight. Also the sidewalks are very narrow on the main road and the heavy traffic means you need to take care crossing at the bottom of Grange Road
