Mid-Century Modern Townhouse with High Views
My family and I fell in love with this place. You can feel the history here. This is one of only four units, with no one above or below you. The bedrooms have city views. It is nothing short of elegant.
This used to be where nurses-in-training would stay for St. Vincent hospital and was originally built to house them (hence why only 4 units). It is high up, warm and inviting. You will love experiencing this for yourself!

The property was in a great location for our needs. The beds were comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Communication with the property manager was timely and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again.
Convenient to UAB Hospital without being in downtown. Owner extended stay because wife who had 3 Bypasses had to stay a little longer
than expected. Comfortable place to just get away from hospital & get a good nights sleep.
The property was in a good location and looked just as good in person as in pictures. The beds were comfortable, and the home was clean. Directions from our hosts were straightforward. We were traveling with our five year old. We would recommend this listing to those with children, but my husband and I would come back here for a romantic getaway.
Convenient location for all medical, both UAB and Ascension. Not even 20 minutes from the airport. The one major downfall is parking, you need a small vehicle. Found a great breakfast spot in downtown, 5 minutes away, the Frothy Monkey.
We loved the stay while attending the Birmingham bowl. We had wished it was a bit closer to the stadium. but the rain kept us from walking anyway. The beds and lovely shower were amazing after a soaking wet game! The K cups and creamer were a lovely addition. The only things that were tricky were parking, but it was clearly explained in the email and we didn't get our check in info until a few hours before which made me a little nervous, as I had asked a few questions. Very nice and we all slept great! Would stay there again for sure.
It was a nice place to stay for the night. The host did give us easy to follow directions to find the unit. Though, parking was not great for us a with a full sized SUV. It was a little tough to pull out when the neighbors had their vehicles parked as well. There is other parking on the street, but it was full. And the driveway is fairly steep to walk up. We stayed for an event. When we had comenback to the unit that night, the tv on the main floor was on, when we know it was not on when we left. We never turned it on ourselves. But, the neighborhood seemed quiet and we didn't have any other issues.
Our family of four (12 and 7-yr-old) were in town for a long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The kids had fun exploring the nooks and crannies or "secret passages" of this brownstone, decorated mid-century mod. Like any good old building, it has some quirks - but a musty aroma and gnat problem were quibbles in comparison to the beautiful construction, natural light, comfortable furniture and central location to the sights and attractions of B'ham. The owner was responsive and helpful. The steep driveway and parking situation are a bit sketchy, but only because of the way the neighbors' vehicles were parked in the parking area. It makes the unit's corner parking space difficult to get in/out if you are driving anything larger than a sedan. And speaking of the neighbors - they are youngsters and being that this is a college town, let's just say they were taking full advantage of their Saturday night. ;-) The music finally stopped thudding around midnight. Something to consider if you are noise-sensitive.
Overall, we we were pleased and would recommend/stay again.
We enjoyed a very short stay at the property. It was a nice sleep and a comfy place to relax. The shower was a plus. Nice and large. Will recommend for sure.
The location of this is house is perfect. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants and a short drive to shopping and event center. The house itself is really nice and comfy. The bed and bedding is the best there is away from home.
Terri was so easy to work with and very responsive.
We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious outdoor area and enjoyed sitting outside at night. The bedrooms and living areas are also larger than we had expected. This space worked well for our group and the location can’t be beat! We would love to stay again the next time we’re in town.
We had SUCH a wonderful time at this property. It’s close to so many amazing restaurants and breweries. The homeowner was incredibly helpful and very responsive. When we come back to Birmingham we will definitely be looking to see if this spot is available first!
This rental was nice for a weekend getaway. The owners were very nice and very responsive. Only drawback to the rental is the parking. Can be challenging with a large SUV or Minivan.

Safe, clean, not luxury
Holes in the walls, peeling wallpaper, grungy tile countertop, loose handles, doors don't close... The list goes on. This place may have been nice once but it feels like it has been beaten to hell and not as nice as the pictures or description

Good Location
This property was in a great location. You can easily access all parts of Birmingham.
Owner did not respond to messages timely prior to the stay. I asked one prior to booking and then had to ask again to receive response. I asked another question a day or two before travel and never heard back.
This property is not handicap accessible, if that is needed for you. I did not see it on listing so that proved to be difficult for one of the guest.

Not the Best Experience
Communication with the property manager was sub-par. I messaged her asking a question 7 days before check in and it was never responded to. I was sent check in instructions 9 minutes before check in time and upon arrival, the keypad to get inside was dead. It look numerous calls and messages before the property manager responded. The house itself was nice, however, we had no hot water and couldn’t get the a/c to turn off so it was 60 degrees the entire stay. We were just there for one night so we didn’t attempt to fix these issues.
The host was nice, and the place was just the right amount of space for us. I thought it was really cute (though older than the pictures show). You are not going to want to walk around in this area after dusk but should be OK coming and going even if you park on the street.
There are four things to be aware of.
1. The sheets on the king bed do not fit the very deep foam mattress, so they keep popping off the sides during the night. If you have super deep king sheets, bring them.
2. Bring your own dish detergent, laundry detergent, and kitchen utensils. There are a few cups, plates, bowls, and silverware, but don't expect a kitchen outfitted like a time share or beach condo rental.
3. Upstairs (bedrooms) and downstairs (living area) temps are quite different, and there's one thermostat. Crank it down before you go to bed and bring a sweater if you get up earlier or stay up later than your conpanions.
4. Parking is insane. Just park on the street. The spot up the steep hill by the condo is so short that there's almost no way to turn in unless you have a micro-car, and getting out requires some hairpin turns too.
