Lovely greeting from staff when we arrived and polite when we checked out . Staff at the breakfast service were polite, welcoming and helpful. Buffet breakfast was also delicious with a good choice of foods and drinks. Would stay again .

Its location Is just perfect being minutes from new street station, shopping, nightlife and road network. Parking near is expensive it’s only negative. From the front desk team to the bar staff and the maids the staff are what make your stay here simple and convenient. The renovated areas of the hotel are suburb and even the older rooms, while dated still have great facilitates. The suites are great value for money.

The hotel was well situated for the city centre but unfortunately there was a nightclub outside our windows which was extremely noisy , we moved rooms at 2am but were then in an inferior room with a much smaller bed ( premium king room was booked to give us space for my husbands broken shoulder!) The second room I booked for friends was also supposed to be king size but wasn’t . I also carefully chose the hotel because it said it had onsite parking but it didn’t , which was disappointing as we didn’t want to have to park our car in a public multi-storey overnight. Apart from the above though the hotel had a nice relaxed reception area with wonderful staff and the food was good

Wouldn't stay again
The room was completely different to what was shown as advertised, very old and tired looking. I received a letter under the door through the night to wake up to and find that there's no hot water!

Stayed here lots of times always found it an okay hotel in a very good location. Only problem is that the guests can be a bit inconsiderate sometimes. Example, on several occasions the fire alarm has gone off in the night and it's always been because of guests smoking in the room. Not the hotels fault, but if you need a cigarette in the night go outside

Well the fire alarm went off at 7:00am in the morning. Some people was smoking which made everyone evacuate the building. so was not happy to be woken up at that time on NYE. Which is obviously no fault by the hotel, but overall the hotel was nice and staff was friendly.

Hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. It’s on the door step of Birmingham’s biggest train station and shopping centre, and within walkable distance to two other stations, bus stops, and dozens of attractions in the city centre. Although it can be noisy outside the hotel, the room was quiet. Staff were kind, polite and helpful, and the breakfast was satisfactory. I have stayed here before, and will stay again.

The room has several issues. Train next to it runs every 10min roughly and there will be wee sound whenever train passes. I heard it since 5am. No power plug near bed for phone charging at night. Good thing about it, excellent staff, breakfast and location, also the hot shower.

Decent looking hotel and the staff were friendly. Room was spotless but the aircon/heating didn’t work, leaving the room and bathroom freezing. Reported it just after check in. Though as there was a portable heater already in the room I suspect this was a known issue. Asked if a move was possible but was told they were full. Shame really. Especially as the room rate wasn’t cheap.

The room was spacious, bright, with a very comfortable bed and lovely deep carpets. The bathroom was a bit dated in comparison. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of hot and cold food. When we arrived on Saturday evening I realised that I left my toothpaste at home. I asked in reception whether they had any. I was told that they would check with housekeeping and call me up in the room. No call came. When I went downstairs to investigate another lady was in reception and she told me that they didn’t keep toothpaste, but there was a shop round the corner where I could buy some. I did go out to buy it. Later in the evening I saw a sign in the bathroom, which basically said that if you forgot some essentials, like your toothbrush or toothpaste, you can get some from reception. 🙂

Great location for Birmingham City Centre. Room was very clean but carpet threadbare in places. So frustrating that a hairdryer is provided but there is no socket near the mirror so that you can see when blowdrying your hair!

The room I paid for wasn’t the room I was given. Definitely not value for money and couldn’t sleep due to the noise from cars etc. that being said it was clean to say the very least and upon arrival staff were nice.

Tired Room
Booked an executive room, bed good, pillows very small, bathroom dated but clean with a powerful shower. Only set up for one person even though there were two of us staying. Windows let in a lot of noise and the bathroom fan was on constantly so very noisy. All staff we met were polite and friendly.

Comfortable stay near Station and Hippodrome
Great location between New St Station and the Hippodrome. Rooms are decent with comfortable beds and good shower. Good size TV. A little noisy from the street but not enough to disturb sleep. Breakfasts ate excellent

Room extremely dated and not what is advertised, room had a horrible musty smell. Only good thing about hotel is lobby area which has Starbucks and hotels location.
