The only thing that maybe an option for future solo female guests( & I know this is whole political area) is to ask if they are happy to have a room on the ground floor . Would definitely stay again , when visiting family in the area . The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is good (evening meal & breakfast), The style of the hotel is endearing, however it has so many scars and is need of a deep clean and refurbishment. There’s stains on the carpets, marks on the walls, bathrooms need modernising and the beds are small and hard. The pub’s toilets were flooded and outdoor space and car park was littered.
