« Absolutely wonderful stay! The B&B was charming, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, but what truly stood out was the breakfast — hands down one of the best we have ever had. Every morning was a treat! The hosts were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for both couples or families. »

« The hostel is cozy, located close to the lake, and within a short drive or a hike from Scafell. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own food. The staff are all very friendly. »

« He been to the BGL twice in the last month and have enjoyed both stays. First hotel I’ve been to that has no reception or staff in general, with keys and information left on a table on the way in. No matter though, I’m there to sleep and shower and that’s about it! It’s situated right on the beach which gives you the most incredible view out of the window and it’s close to local pubs and a few other conveniences. More importantly, it’s in an amazing place to head in to Wasdale - other than...
